this gets me, though. his cell phone wouldn't have worked.
he was in a meat locker, which is, by definition, mostly
metal. so no cellular signals would really get in or out --
and even if some did, they wouldn't be clear or strong
enough to carry a conversation.

yes, there was the wooden part of the meat locker, but still
-- cell phones are bitchy at best. i would have liked this
bit better if it was more likely to be true.
