Challenge 'Spring Break'
~ Hey all!, That idea is
interesting me and I think I might try and answer it but I need to
know one thing first. What on Earth is 'Spring Break'? It must be
something Ameriacan that I don't get being a Brit. So could someone explain
it to me please. ~
~ Thanks! ~
~ MR ~
Spring Break is an American custom I guess you
could say, every year in the US the collages/university's basicly closes for
the easter holiday's, about 2 weeks depending on the school, the last time
off for the students before finals. Quite a few take this time to head for
the southern costal states where it's warm and has lot's of sand. They chose
this time to have one huge party where almost anything goes. Drinking, sex,
and acting insane seems to be the norm for this period. Florida is a big
destination, but the students in the past (recent past) have gotten so wild,
that some cities are starting to make spring breakers somewhat unwelcome.
Hope that answers your question. :)
Take care,
Rachel
