Julie, I hadn’t heard that. But then she wasn’t very forthcoming at that time, she was just real upset. But thanks for letting me know. Most of us at the Pack knew shewas being hassled but not to that degree.

Regarding Sharon Bowers: I heard from Melissa Good (live and in person) that it wasn't just from e-mail flames. Someone came up to her at the bookstore where she worked with a copy of her book and said that he'd read it all theway through and that it was an abomination because it featured two women in love. That's why she yanked all of her stuff. It's bad enough that her rl community is so intolerant, she didn't need people harassing her at work.

I’m not exactly sure what happened here, but this is not the first time the flaming has happened. But this is getting ridiculous. When I joined this list it wasn’t all that big with a lot fewer writers than now.
I don’t know who said what to Kimber or whomever, but this non-constructive flaming has to stop. If you don’t like the story then just delete it,that’s what the key is for in the first place. While I personally may not like a story, I don’t see any reason to flame them, it’s just that, my opinion.
I would hope that the wonderful writers of this list don’t leave because of someone else’s poor judgment. That happened to several authors in theXenaverse like Sharon Bowers who eventually closed her site and pulled all her fic. If it happened here it would be a crime to lose talented writers to that.
Well I’m done now and I’m getting off my soapbox. Thanks.
