AUTHOR'S NOTE: I really did not want to start another story line right now but...this idea has been rampaging about in my head for a few weeks, knocking over the furniture, terrorizing the other story's that had been started... Problem is, I'm not really sure where it is going....
To Cross the River Styx
Chap 1
Willow dove for the door and fumbledwith the lock to get it open. Suddenly, the lights went out, shouts started up in the hallway and she felt Spike grabbing hold of her.
**Bloody fucken' hell,** thought Spike as he heard the sound of the commandos charging up the stairs to this floor. "Change of plans, Red," he hissed as he clamped a handover her mouth to keep her from screaming. When the door burst open he charged out holding Willow as a shield and ploughed through the Commandoblocking the door. The stabbing pain in his head caused him to flingWillow away from him, towards the group of people to the left of the door,while he turned and ran for the window and through it.
Willow felt herself flying through the air, when she saw a blue arc and was hit with a pain so bad it made her choke. When she crashed into the commando, she kept on rolling until she was on her feet and sprinting away from the fight. A bright lightflared out of the darkness, but she averted her eyes so as not to be blinded and charged for the stairs. Dodging other students she ran for thestairs to escape. **Find Buffy!** was her only thought as she reached the dorm lobby. She was about to run outside when suddenly Buffy charged right past her knocking students out of her way.
"Buffy!" Willow called, but over the shouts and protests of her fellow dorm mates now scattered upon the floor. Willow sighed and ran after Buffy, back up the stairs. When she reached their floor the lights had been turned back on. Buffy was looking in their room and calling for her, "Willow!"
"Buff," Willow called out,"I'm OK."
Buffy turned to look back down the hallway towards her with a worried look on her face. Willow gave a little smile and wave as she walked towards her. "Hey. Guess some frat was on a raiding mission." Willow knew it had been more thana frat, but with so many people about she had to wait till she and Buffy were alone. So she tried to lighten the mood.
Buffy's pensive look did not go awayas Willow approached. "What's wrong, Buff?"
Instead of answering her, Buffy walked right past her to their neighbor and asked, "Have you seen Willow?"
The girl shook her head and Buffy turned to the person across the hall. "Have you seen Willow?"
"Buffy?" Willow asked in apuzzled voice as she reached out to grab Buffy...only to be horrified to see her hand pass through Buffy's arm.
And then she knew.
Three years ago, on Halloween, she had been turned into a ghost by a magic spell that had made people become their costumes. She had been able to pass through people and walls, buthad been visible to people because of the spell.
"Oh God!" Willow exclaimedas she realized that Buffy couldn't see her because she was a ghost again.
Only this time it was because her body was dead.

Riley charged into the initiative HQ, the body of Willow Rosenberg slung over his shoulder. Medical Tech's were there to grab her and begin resuscitation efforts. Forrest, Miles and Sanchez came running in and stopped to watch, praying that the medics would be able to fix their mistake.
The girl had gotten caught in the crossfire of two tazer blasts. When they had first grabbed her off of the floor and escaped from the dorm, they had thought Hostile 17 might have contaminated her. When they had stopped to check her, they discoveredthat 1) she had no bite marks, 2) she was still warm and 3) her heart was not beating. A horrible realization that her heart may have been stopped by the dual tazer blast she had received when Hostile 17 had thrown herat them. Riley had been even more stunned when he realized 'Who' thegirl was that they had grabbed. A few minutes of attempting CRP withno response and they had decided to get her beck to the Initiative's medical facilities as quickly as possible. However after 5 minutes with noresponse the lead doctor finally called for a time of death.
Professor Walsh stepped up to the four soldiers and looked at them with a grim _expression_ on her face. "My office. Now."
