OT: A Fable

And lo, the dark Lobster did come to the other and say, "This fic - it is good and
plentiful and much appreciated by many from lands much like ours and lands that are far
far away from here. Yet, the portal to the fic is closed and inaccessible to those who
would take part in the weaving of such wonderful tales."

The badger, bunny slayer, koala, red fox and vampire fruit bat all nodded solemnly in
agreement.

The dark Lobster continued. "To keep this from those who seek it would be a great
misfortune." the Lobster considered this a moment and added. "Plus it would make me very,
very sad." ( Insert pouty Lobster face here. ) "Won't you reconsider sharing your gift?"

The light Lobster thought about this long and hard. True it could be considered a gift of
sorts. And what good was a gift if you're not going to share it with others? But on the
other hand, there were firebugs everywhere looking to spread their mischief and mayhem and
unkind words about the Lobster and those who consorted with her in the portal. This
disturbed the light lobster greatly. ( Insert concentrating and disturbed Lobster-face
here. )

The dark Lobster knew what the other was thinking. ( Insert knowing Lobster-face here. )
"One kind and honest word from someone who's opinion counts will counteract the effects of
all the firebugs of all the dimensions in all the world."

( Wide eyed Lobster look ) "Really?" The light Lobster asked in amazement.

The dark Lobster nodded and smiled. Well, tried to smile as much as a lobstercould of
course. "Really." Then the dark Lobster leaned over close to the light Lobster's ear ( do
lobsters even have ears? ::shrug:: ) and whispered in a hushed Lobster voice. "Well, *I*
think it's very good. As a matter of fact, I know it."

"Really?"

Everyone nodded in agreement along with the wise dark Lobster.

"Okay then." the light Lobster clapped her claws and rubbed them together. "Done." She
then turned to the dark Lobster. "Thanks."

"Anytime." the dark Lobster smiled.
