Vampire Question

Okay, list its gotten quiet again... and we just can't have that. :)
Anyway I got a question about Angel and vampires in general. From what
I understand vampires need an invitation because they are undead and
soulless bastards that want to eat you. But Angel has a soul... why the
hell does he need an invitation? If Buffy couldn't tell he was a vamp
because of the soul thing... then why should the "invitation" rule apply
to him as well?
