A Fanfic challenge - Maybe Baby

Has it been a week already? Yep it's another challenge. I think
that this might be a bit more challenging than my previous ones.

Timing : Early S5. Dawn is there but so far as everyone knows
she's always been Buffys little sister. Joyce is still in full
health. It's upto you whether the events of the series occured
or whether you diverge at S5.1

Background : Over the summer Joyce had a relationship with a
divorcee who lives outside of Sunnydale, The relationship ended
when she discovered that the guy was infact still married. At
the opening of the fic Joyce discovers that she is 5 weeks
pregnant (for the purpose of the fic we are pegging Joyces age as
41-43 so she is still of an age where it is reasonable for her to
have a child, this also means that she became pregnant with Buffy
when she was around Buffys current age).

The Fic : Should be written in the form of diary entries
detailing characters feelings and reactions. Doesn't have to be
an entry per day.

Must include :

* Entries by Buffy and Dawn.
* Reference to Buffy being concieved in a slightly unusual place
and/or under slighty unusual circumstances[1].
* Entries by at least 2 of :
Joyce
Giles (can be his official or personal diary)
Xander
Willow
Tara
Anya


Should include at least 2 of :

* A letter or phone call from Faith to either Buffy or Joyce.
* Someone currently alive wanting to learn to knit so that they
can knit Bootees for the baby. It turns out that out of all of
them only Spike knows how to knit so he teaches them.
* Mention of Presidential candidate George W. Bush.
* Smoking (ie tabacco).
* Somone watching the film "Drop Dead Gorgeous".
* Whilst watching the film "American Beauty" Anya commenting to
Xander that Kevin Spacey does look sexy when he's working out,
and Xanders reaction to that.
* A commercial starring Cordelia being seen back in Sunnydale.
* A cinema trip.
* Mention of a childhood holiday and a desire to repeat it.
* A vampire being slain with a gardening implement.
* Willow makes reference to her being raised Jewish.

Hopefully a lightbulb has just, metaphorically, lit above
someones head.

Does anyone object to these? I was thinking of signing up as a
tutor with trhe Buffy faculty on WBU[2] and sending these out as
course work but I prefer the idea of people taking up a challenge
cos they want to rather than out of a sense of duty[2]. Mind you
if anyone feels a sense of duty to take up fic challenges don't
let me stop you.

[1] For example I happen to know that I was concieved in the
'Cairo Grand' hotel in Cairo because the crickets outside my
parents room prevented them from sleeping and apparently getting
condoms at 1am in a Muslim country in June/July 1969 was not
possible. This knowledge has not helped my self esteem at all.

[2] Also I don't like the idea of having to grade a bunch of Fics
each week. Although I am good at picking up gramtical and
spelling errors (just not in my own stuff) so I might be up to a
little light beta reading.
