Snippet a follow up on the gift

chatting on MSN. It contains a spoiler for the gift so if you

Willow sat in the grass staring at Buffy's tombstone <There is no god
or Goddess, there cant be. If there were, they wouldn't have let
this happen to Buffy. We are just pawns in a twisted game of the
fates, they roll the dice and we pay the price.>

Willow stood up and ran her hand across the cold stone <I want out of
her, I want to leave this place behind and never look back. Now that
she is gone there is nothing her for me but pain. I wish I could
start over again but I can't, the memories of her are forever etched
in my mind.>

Placing a pure white rose at the base of the marble slab Willow leans
over and places a kiss on the cold shone, " "I'll see you in the next
life my love, ." then with tears falling unchecked the redhead turn
and slowly walks away

Buffy stood in the vast void all around her she could hear voices
ranging as she made her way to a white light.

"Do you know who you are?"

"We live between the death cry"

"You have only begun"

The voices grew louder as she made her way to the light, her body
trembled as she heard the sounds that where filling this vast void,
each of them crying out to her.

"Your work is unfinished"

"It is not yet time"

"You have come to us to soon"

As she neared the light an figure took form in front of her. The
figure seemed to be there but in a way it wasn't

The unknown form spoke to hear, causing the ground to tremble, "I am
Alpha, I am Omega"

"Why am I here and where is here?"

Where you stand is between life and death, if you past through the
light you will have died. This can not happen, now is not your time."

Willow wakes in the dark room her heart pounding and her clothes
drenched with sweat, what woke me the witch asked herself

Just then a voice broke the silence, it told her to return to the
scene of their greatest battle and her greatest heart break

Willow quickly changed her cloths and headed back too that place, the
place she never wanted to see again, the place she had lost her Buffy.

She didn't want to go but there was something about the voice,
something that made every fiber of her being scream that it could not
be ignored.

She arrived just in time to see a bright light glowing behind the
fence that hid the sight of their final battle with darkness

She finds a hole in the fence large enough for her to squeeze
through. Tears come to her eyes as she nears the place where she
found the broken body of the woman she loved there was a stranger
standing there staring at the exact spot where Buffy had landed after
closin the rift. there was something familiar about this figure,
something in the way it moved and stood.

"Buffy" she whispered afraid she was seeing things and just as afraid
she wasn't

A voice she had though she would never hear again replied ,"Willow?"

"Oh Goddess please don't let this be a dream" Willow prayed aloud

Tears flowed down her face as Buffy slowly turned around and faced
her, she wanted to rush to her love and never let go but she couldn't
make her body move. this had to be a dream and if she reached for
Buffy the dream would fade and she would lose her all over again

Buffy slowly walked over to her, and brushed away her tears, "Willow."

"Are you real, " Willow cried.

Buffy pulled Willow into a hug, "I'm real, everything is going to be
find."

"But what if I wake up and your gone," Willow asked as she cried on
Buffy's shoulder

"No dreams Wills" Buffy whispered in her ear

"Not this time I couldn't leave you after all"

Willow looked up at Buffy through her tear stained eyes, "Then it's
for real, you came back to me?"

"Yeah I did," replied Buffy as she leaned into Willow and tenderly
kissed the redhead.
