Hiya

It is I Cilia returned from the dead. Therefore let this day here after be
known as Grog and stuff your children with sugar and caffeine in honour of
my glorious return.


Sorry about that. But since Stef is currently stuck with The Flow, it means
that I, the editor, can do my own stuff before she drags me of in chains
again. So this is hopefully the first of a series of (Not for publication)
columns written by Christina Rex in the BtVS 2117 universe. Yes this is a
shameless copy of Spider Jerusalem's I Hate Here columns from
Transmetropolitan for those of you who know what that is.
Take care now, cause I'm off to hunt manga artists which is a dangerous yet
thrilling sport <smirk>

These are the writings of Christina Rex, a former reporter for the major
metropolitan newspaper The Star, now a member of the SG-Force. Finding
herself on the other side of the camera she documents her life with the
team...

Happy New Year!

A New Year dawned like any other I guess. I got accepted into the SG-Force
along with Drusilla and life moved on, I guess. Oh who am I? Well Im
Christina Rex and until recently I was a reporter for The Star, now Im just
Rex the eighth member of the nine people team that calls itself The SG-Force
(The Scooby Gang Force). We kill vampires, demons etc. and occasionally save
the world. Also we try to stay out of the press and lately that part has
been proven very difficult to say the least.

I guess it all started with Buffy, thats our leader, arriving in the year
2117 and saving the world along with the core team, I didnt enter the scene
until after that. During that bit of world saving came Zoëgas power display
in front of the press. So naturally that was all across the midnight update.
More recently there was the Rift Case and here is where I enter the picture.
In short order a group calling itself Future-2, let by Angelicas evil twin
Demonic, tried to reopen the Hellmouth. Well Zoëga and Willow prevented that
from happening and so again we were on the news. It was new experience for
me to be on the other side of the gun. Now for those of you who have been
living under a rock for the last few months here is a quick recap of the
oddballs that I call teammates at share a mansion with.

Spike; was a general during The Great War of 2007 to 2017 in case you are
wondering where that charm that oozes of him comes from. Hes 257 years old
and he has honed his: Im dark and dangerous look to perfection during that
time. Hes also my instructor and Hopes sexfriend although neither she nor
he will admit to it. He and Dru have a rocky history to say the least, but
hes in this for the greater good.

Willow; second in command of our little team. She supplies us with the
hardware, the mansion and various other inventions that she comes up with.
Shes Buffys girlfriend and just about the sweetest person youll ever
meet. Shes a plasma-slinger to boot, meaning she can throw a big blue ball
of superheated matter at your and fry you were you stand. She can shape it
too, but being emotionally closed of she likes to went her rage by using
before mentioned balls.

Angel; our local avian, for those of you not familiar with the term, well
she has great big wings on her back and a muscle tone to die for. Shes our
connection to the Angel Foundation one of the companies that funds this
little adventure. Shes tall, regal and cold as a witchs behind. Except of
course when shes alone with Z and believe me I have heard the noise those
two make. Actually they dont make noise, they just sit and meld minds, but
Dru hears it so I hear about it.

Hope; she slept with Spike and now they are both in denial about it more or
less I think they did a repeat on New Years too. She cares for the cold,
literally, son of a bitch and the old bastard cares for her. Shes our
Prophecy Girl and chief of operations, if we are out saving the world shes
in the monitor room reading the Codex and thinking up plans with G.I.L.E.S.
our A.I. unit.

Zoëga, or Z as he is lovingly called; our team mascot in the eye of the
press, since he just turned eighteen and has that oh-so-innocent look about
him. Hes currently Angels snuggle partner and despite all the smoke we
have been blowing in the presss eyes he is one of the most powerful
telepaths on the planet. He had telekinesis for a short time, but then he
went to Angels dad and had him restore some sorts of blocks in his brain,
he hasnt been forthcoming with the info.

Dru, or Drusilla; Shes the former president of Dru Enterprises. She did a
disappearing act after the Rift case and joined us. Make no mistakes the
girl is evil and I dont really understand why shes here. Granted she
pulled us out just before the rift blew and was ready to die to see it
closed. The only ones who know why shes on the team and not in the dustpan
are Buffy and Willow and they are not telling. I dont really mind Dru. I
am, was a third generation reporter, so I have been around vicious
bloodsuckers in form or another all my life.

Buffy; Slayer Prime, our fearless leader and scourge of reporters
everywhere. Shes the one who talked my into the team. I had this idea of
luring her with my charms, but I have pretty much given up on that. Now let
my tell you why. Being held up against a wall and ravaged might sound like
fun but not when the person doing the ravaging can apply half a ton of
pressure on you. In short one little power display slash abuse was enough to
convince to stay the hell away. She apologized, but something tells me that
she's much more gentle with Willow then she was with me.

Interesting little group, but it wouldnt be complete without our A.I. unit
Giles a big hunk of crystalline material that hovers and makes wry comments
while offering you tea and scones.

I hate it here, but strangely it feels nice at the same time.
