A New Buffy/Willow Slash Site!! Please read!

Hey guys...

I have started a new B/W slash site 
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buffyandwillowslash), and I'd love for 
*everyone* here to come and check it out. It's a yahoo group so you 
won't need to sign up for anything, just join if you'd like.

I posted this as the first message on the group, but I understand 
that if you're not a member, you cannot read the messages. So, I 
decided to post the message here, so you can kind of get an 
understanding of why I created this new group in the first place and 
what you can expect from it in the future. So without any further 
ado...



Welcome to the Buffy and Willow Slash Group! So glad you could make 
it!

Okay first things first, I know you're all wondering the same thing& 
why did I start this group when there's a perfectly good, well-
established group already out there for Buffy and Willow slash?  
Well, see.. here's the thing& I *adore* the BuffyWantsWillow group 
and also, BuffyLovesWillow. The people on there are great and I love 
the wonderful sense of community they seem to have. However, I was a 
little bit disappointed at the amount of fics and artwork that seemed 
to have nothing to do with Buffy and Willow at all. Now I know that 
the moderator(s) at BWW and BLW encourage this type of thing, and 
it's really not my place to say what people can/cannot post. But it 
sort of bothered me that the group was supposed to be for 
Buffy/Willow fans and a lot of the stuff really wasn't about them.  
So that's why I decided to make a site exclusively for Buffy and 
Willow. 

Am I crazy? Only slightly. T'hee hee.

What I like to know, as I am sure some other people do too, is that 
when I am looking for a certain couple or fandom, what I want to read 
or see is always readily available to me. Scouring the net or 
sifting through tons of irrelevant messages just doesn't really 
appeal to me, especially when I've got a hankering for a good fic.

I am certainly not asking for people to stop posting at BWW or BLW& 
I'll probably still post there myself  they're wonderful groups.  
But if you guys wanna come to a site that centers around just Buffy 
and Willow, then I would be more than happy to welcome you into the 
new community.

It is my hope that people will enjoy this site as much as the 
aforementioned groups, and that we can have an equally successful 
community of fans coming together to form, what I think, will be a 
phenomenal group of fans.
