Mmmm. I can taste the power, drink in your fear.

Because now I can say&

The fic was PERFECT!!

I believe I'M going to die! Or at least quit writing. Okay, I won't
quit, I'll just die of jealousy.

Your FIRST time!! [pulls hair]

A simple premise. Brilliantly executed. Wonderfully characterized
(maybe for a second, Angel's a micron too juvenile? For not being able
to instantly tell Buffy what's up? Nah, it's in the range of the
character, and he's had a LOT of stress). Not a word wasted. Perfect
confusion and noble sacrifice and a very happy ending.

I've been taking (and sometimes not well) some criticism because my fics
lack scenic detail to give them a sense of place. You know what yours
entirely lacks? Yup, scenic detail (you do mention trees at the park,
but that's it). Do you know how much I absolutely don't care? Do you
know how much I positively don't miss it? Is there anyone out there who
can't "see" every second of the fic, Willow's room, Buffy's porch, the
park, the library? Didn't think so.

It's really a pity this wasn't an episode. Not only because I'd love to
see Aly playing Angel, but because this way you could have a guest-star
without hiring the actor. Perfect way to get around that "no
cross-over" rule the WB has erected, huh?

Three very minor factual quibbles. These do NOT, in ANY way, detract
from my immense enjoyment of the story; I just feel it's easier for
authors if they have the facts right, as it prevents big mistakes down
the road.

1. Yes, it's season 3, because the library's still there. But the
Buffy/Faith bodyswitch wasn't until Season 4 ("This Year's Girl"/"Who
Are You").

2. Angel sired Dru. Dru sired Spike ("Fool for Love")

3. Angel's been in Willow's room ("Lie to Me"), but he's under a lot of
stress and it's understandable if he doesn't remember right away. He
was also there in "Passion", but it's unclear if Angel remembers what he
did as Angelus.

Again: Awesome, wonderful, perfect, disgustingly good. I am so
jealous.

Now do better <just kidding>

PSam VERY happy Willow was never in Hell. I like that girl far too
much.

But, if Angel/Willow didn't switch places, does that make the title a
lie? No, because it actually refers to Buffy's sexual conversion (very
clever).
