Pat,

I'm pretty new here (July), so I never got a chance to respond to the
original posting of Chapters 1-6, but let me just say that I love this
fic! Heck, I didn't even know you were "wwabbit", so for all I knew,
you weren't even posting here. So these latest chapters are a true joy.

One problem in Season 2 fic is that if you change the events of
"Surprise/Innocence", you lose the Angelus-driven motor for the rest of
the eps. But you've done a very good job of coming up with a new take
on the situation. The vision of Angel and Angelus battling for control,
of a Spike hell-bent on revenging Dru, all serve to keep up the tension,
and to make us wonder what's coming next. (Well, I guess Doug Perren
still digs up Acathla, and then&?).

Buffy and Cordy remain surprisingly sweet. One of the main pleasures of
B/C fic is that Cordelia, unlike most of the folks Buffy gets 'shipped
with [Willow, Faith, Xander, Spike], hasn't been crushing on Buffy since
day 1, so it's more of a real relationship, with Buffy having to cook
dinners and buy presents and set limits and breach defenses and put up
with "little woman" comments, just like most of us have had to do.
Well, no one ever called me "little woman", but you still get my drift.
Very Human (semi-intentional pun). It's also great fun to see Cordy
being in love like never before and with someone she never would have
dreamed of, and yet still try to be Queen C, the mistress of all she
surveys, because why would she want to lose control over everything?

Amy makes a nice match for Xander, rounding out that little foursome.
But if he knew what was coming in "Pangs", he wouldn't be making those
VD jokes&

The only thing that bothered me was the teeny-tiny type. Did you catch
this from Kimber? Some of us get eyestrain, you know. (For this,
willingly, but still&)

Great work all around, and I can't wait for more.
