OT: Archive FIC "Everybody Loves Willow" (W/B/C/G/X)

(Sorry about the cross-posting, but I'm on a lot of Willow lists.

And no, I don't know why I decided to do one of these "archive fics",
rather than just pass the reminder on. Probably just because I've never
done one before.)

Willow sat on Giles's couch, glad that the Watcher had been able to get
his old apartment back when he had returned to Sunnydale for good.

"Willow," Giles said, a chiding tone in his smooth voice, "don't you
think you should have told us?"

"Told you what?" the redhead asked, a mixture of confusion and panic
rising in her. "I didn't do anything, honest! Unless, I, um, did?"

Giles looked at the girl bemusedly. "I was merely referring to this
programme on the television," he clarified, folding over his copy of The
Sunnydale Press and indicating the listing in question. Buffy moved
even closer next to Willow as Xander and Cordelia came around the back
of the sofa to peer over Willow's shoulder. "You see? It's called
"Politically Incorrect", and it's on this evening at midnight, or 11
P.M. in the Central and Mountain time zones."

"And you were looking at the TV listings why?" Buffy teased.

"I, er, erm," the Englishman sputtered in reply, not wanting to admit
he'd been double-checking whether "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" was
scheduled, "I was looking for the radio listings. I thought there, um,
might be an opera being performed," he explained to four sets of dubious
eyes. "Anyway, that's hardly the point," he added, tapping the paper
with his finger to get the others to look closely.

"Will's going to be on TV?" Xander asked eagerly. eyeing the photo next
to the listing "Whoa! Way to go, Willmeister!"

"Not me, silly," Willow said with a giggle. "Alyson Hannigan, the
actress who plays me, is going to be on the panel. Probably talking
about love and romance and stuff, since it's Valentine's Day and all."

"She's a pretty good actress," Cordelia admitted with what (she felt)
was an extreme show of graciousness.

"Yeah, but no one can be as good a Willow as my Willow," Buffy cooed,
stroking her love's forearm.
"Excuse you?" Cordelia scoffed. "What's with the 'my Willow' nonsense?
Until you grow a brain on the show and kiss her like you should, the
only place the two of you are together is in fanfics. And there," she
added, running her own hand through that lustrous hair of Willow's she
adored, "we ALL get a chance to play with her."

"Yeah, Buff, you and Will are still a UC pairing," Xander noted as he
moved around the couch to stand in front of the still-possessive Slayer.
"Now me, I'm canon, baby! Oooh, yeah!" the carpenter crowed, preening
just a bit.

"Mmm-hmm," Buffy said placidly. "And look, it's only been 72 episodes
since you kissed her."

"Three kisses, Buffinator," Xander smirked. "That three more than you
ever got." Buffy fumed inside at the truth of that, as Giles tried to
get the conversation back on track.

"Be that as it may, I believe we should all be content to enjoy Ms.
Hannigan's presence on the programme. It does seem very appropriate
that she is appearing on Valentine's Day, because you, dear Willow," he
said, lowering his voice and locking his loving green eyes on Willow's
own emerald orbs, "are the most wonderful creature it has ever been my
privilege"

"A-hem!" Cordelia interrupted with a no-nonsense throat-clearing.

"or, ah, anyone's privilege" Giles backpedalled, as the
ex-cheerleader subsided from bristling, "to know, and to love."

"Oh, Rupert&" Willow trilled.

"Hear, hear!" Xander added, wholeheartedly.

"Yeah, what he said." Cordelia agreed, as Willow recognized a smile
lurking beneath the blase tone.

"You'll always be my Valentine, Will," Buffy said, sincerely, gently
taking Willow's hand in hers.
"Say," Willow said, a blush spreading at the naughty thought racing
through her mind, "if, ah, you guys all really love me that much, I kind
of know how you could, uh, show it."

And with that, the once-shy girl tilted her head, nodding upwards. Four
pairs of eyes (one green, one chocolate-brown, and two hazel) followed
the motion to the overhead loft, where's Giles bed now seemed to loom
like a sexual sword of Damocles above them.

"Willow!" Buffy gasped, shocked, but definitely approving.
"You&devil!"

"Ye-ye-yes," Giles managed, engaging in a frantic round of
eyeglass-cleaning. "I suppose then, that I'd better put on some fresh
sheets." He hastened back towards what he called the "airing cupboard",
but something in his voice told Willow her Ripper would soon be back to
play.

"Cool!" Xander enthused, wide-eyed with delight. "I'm Supply-Getting
Guy!" he declared as he hurried to the kitchen. "Helloooooo,
chocolate!"

"Will, I can't believe you!" Buffy purred, as she guided Willow up the
steps to the loft. "Naughty, naughty, Willow!"

"Buffyyyyy," Willow whined as the Slayer's deft hands roamed her body.
"Oh!" she cried, "somebody set the VCRI don't think we'll be done by
midnight."

"Count on it," Buffy told her.

"I'll attend to it," Giles called out from the corridor.

"Hey, G-man," Xander bellowed, "Isn't there any whipped cream around
here?"

"Cream in an aerosol can?" Giles muttered. "Pillock."

Cordelia looked around the suddenly-deserted living room, an expression
disbelief and disgust on her face.

"Oh, puh-leeze!" the seer sneered, tapping a designer shoe against the
floor. "If Willow thinks I'm going to" Cordelia paused for a
quarter-second's thought and quickly reconsidered. "Yeah, okay, I'm
in," she declared, stripping off her dress and folding it on the arm of
the couch.
