Re: FIC: What I'm Here For

So...

I'm logging back on, and while I was away, my inbox filled up, as it's
been known to do. And before I can check the lists, there's a message
from a new poster that needs approval

and, by the way, welcome, Trish! Glad to have you with us, and you
remembered to feed the authors, which is very cool

and I see that Trish is fbing a fic that I didn't get, due to the
clogged inbox. So I wander over to the main page, wondering who wrote
the fic, and I see the name A. M. Glass, and I damn near dropped my
remote, I tell you.

Angela, you have been sorely missed around here, and let me offer you a
hearty "welcome back!"

As for the fic, it's just dandy. I adored how Willow knew that Buffy
needed to know that Will would always be there for her, that the details
were unimportant, that all that mattered was that they had each other.
Brought to mind the classic exchange from "Dead Man's Party":
"You wouldn't understand."
"Well, maybe I don't need to understand. Maybe I just need you to talk
to me."

Here you've even gone beyond that, to where it doesn't matter whether
Buffy talks or not, just that she knows she can talk. So very touching.

And you matched that with Willow saying she needed to stay in bed with
Buffy. (Not that way, people! Geez, some folks' minds...) Her simple
need to know that Buffy knows she's there, her need not to worry that
Buffy thinks she won't always be there for her...well, there's more love
in that than in a thousand kisses. (Not that there's anything wrong
with kisses, mind you.) This is the sort of fic that reminds me why I
'ship this couple.
Thank you.

Dan

PSIMO, this does not require a sequel; it stands just fine on its
own. What IS required is more of your wonderful fics, whatever they may
be. And if you decide that you want to do a sequel, there's certainly
plenty of room for one, too.
