There's a part of me that questions your need to reinvent the wheel.  After all, you wouldn't expect DaVinci to try and straighten out Mona Lisa's lips, would you?  But hey, this is your story, and if your efforts reflect your first reworked chapter, then it will be time well spent.

If I had one quibble regarding your original work, it would be your treatment of Faith.  In setting up her relationship with the Mayor from her first appearance, you made her kind of two-dimensional.  Please, let's leave that to Marti Toxin, uh, Noxon.  Anyway, I look forward to seeing what you have planned in your rewrite.
