western"? Ever hear of a little show called " 'Wagon Train' to the
stars"?

who was actually talking about story mechanics like plot and pacing, not
the overall concept. At this point, to quote an overlong and painfully
slow and repetitious scene from "Firefly", I think Joss's "reputation"
is far more "gossip" than the "solid" it used to be.
Nathan Fillion rocks, though. And at least Joss gave us our lesbian
subtext right upfront and even pointed it out for the slower portion of
the audience :)
