“Oh Willow, you don’t know long I’ve wanted to hear you say that!” Buffy leaned in to give Willow a deep passionate kiss.

“So now Buffy’s your girlfriend?”

Tara and Anya still sat in Giles’ bathroom. “So, you and Willow hunh? I had a feeling there was something between you two. But apparently not anymore.”

“I-I told W-Willow she has to be w-with the one she l-loved. She does l-love me, but not as much as B-Buffy. I just want her to be h-happy.”

“I think she will be. And don’t worry, you’ll find something else. If you’d like, I could give my friend Hallie a chant, last I heard she was single.”

“Um thank you”

Meanwhile, in the living room, oxygen was beginning to become an issue for Buffy. She reluctantly broke the kiss. “Wow, that was...”

“Amazing.” Willow completed, her arms still wrapped around the petite blonde. “I guess I was right to react to what Spike said the way I did, but for the wrong reasons.”

When Buffy heard this, something clicked in her head. “Wait, Spike?”

“When he dropped off the disks, he was worried that it would be awhile before I got them decrypted. He said he overheard the two of you saying thatyou were concerned I was to busy with the “witch stuff” to care about anything else. I told Tara I knew you were freaked.”

“And Spike was the one who told me you two thought I should join the Army.” Xander added.

“That bastard! I’ll bet he said something to Giles too. He’s tryingto play us against each other, trying to break us apart. I’ll bet he’s working with Adam.”
“Spike's working for Adam?! After all we've done — Nah, I can't even act surprised.” joked Xander. “So, what’s the plan?”

“Well, we still need to figure out what is on those disks, but first I think we should get Tara and Anya out of the bathroom, and I should go have atalk with Riley.”

“I think the disks can wait till tomorrow, I’m getting pretty tired, and I should have a talk of my own with Tara. See you at the dorm later?”

“Of course, my love” with that, she gives Willow a quick kiss, before preparing to leave. “I love you. I don’t know how late I’ll be, I have no idea how Riley is going to take this.”

“I’ll wait up. And I love you, too.”

Buffy gives her a bright smile before heading out the door.

Willow knocks lightly on the bathroom door. “Tara, sweetie, we need to talk.”

“I think that’s my cue to leave” Anya says as the door opens. She turns to Tara “If you want me to get in touch with her, let me know. I think the two of you would really like each other” With that, she heads out of the bathroom to rejoin Xander.

“Tara, before I say anything else, you should know that I do love you. But, as you could tell, I’ve been in love with Buffy since tenth grade. And she loves me too. I feel so bad doing this to you, but I want to be with her. I know I don’t deserve it, but if nothing else, I still want to be your friend, Tara.”

“Of course we can still be friends, but I think it’s time I tell you myname’s not really Tara.”
