My review of "Selfless"

Two weeks late and very long (lot of material in this ep), here's the
missing review. And with the election tonight, who knows when I'll get
to watching, much less reviewing, "Him".

OTOH, in 2000, I was so bored with the wall-to-wall election news that I
watched "Family", and I'd quit the show a few weeks before (I wasn't
fanatical enough then to know that Dawn was **meant** to be a lame plot
twist that Joss hoped to do cleverly—I thought he really had resorted
to dropping in a previously-unseen kid sis to pander to the network's
desire for more teen viewers, plus I'd just given up on ever getting B/X
and I hadn't discovered B/W then), so who knows.

Please remember the disclaimers! (Hmm, sounds like a Denzel movie <g>)

1. I like to cuss. If you're underage, don't read this.

2. It's just me. Not an "official" review in any sense of the word. I
was doing these before I was a mod, and this has nothing to do with Rod,
Kimber, Shadow, or Quin.

3. It's a REVIEW, not a RECAP. My opinion, and plenty of it. If you
just want to know what happened, go to Leoff Online for the wildfeed
report.

4. I'm bitter. I don't like the show these days and I don't hide it.
If you're looking for a cheerleader, look elsewhere. That doesn't mean
I don't still love Buffy, Willow, B/W or the first three Seasons. (In
fact, I'm bitter because I think Joss forgot what made them so special.)

Remember, I went into this ep thinking it was the last one I would ever
watch. (Did I keep my vow? You'll have to read to find out <EG>)
Don't expect me to be calm about Spuffy, or Dawn, or redeemable demons
or stuff I think ruins the show.

5. Your mileage may vary. So what if I don't like it? I'm not you.
Maybe you'll love it.

Besides, I've liked plenty of eps more than other people. I actually
have "Doublemeat Palace" as being in the middle of Season Sux, in terms
of quality. (Which doesn't reflect well on the season as a whole, but
you get my point.) People hate "Wrecked", "Gone", "Doublemeat Palace",
and "As You Were". I liked them a lot better than "After Life",
"Flooded", "Dead Things" or "Entropy", to cite some eps that other
people like. Diff'rent strokes, and all that.

Okay, no sense in making the disclaimer as long as the review. Go, read
(or not.)
