OT: The vanishing Mod?

Hi, folks.

It appears that Yahoo is going through their old procedure of dealing
with accounts that have bounced too many emails, namely stripping them
of their posting privileges for a few days. This process happens bit by
bit, in a haphazard manner, but when I went to the "My Groups" page a
little while ago, I saw that I'd lost posting privileges on about 20 of
the 51 lists I currently belong to.  

So if I vanish from here for 3 or 4 days, it's not me, it's Yahoo.

OTOH, next week, I WILL definitely be vanishingI'm going back home
to be with my family for Thanksgiving, and will be away from internet
access for most likely the entire time. So I'll probably be
incommunicado from Sunday, November 24th, until Monday, December 2nd, or
thereabouts.

While I'm gone, play nice. (Remember, the other mods are still watching
you :) ) And don't forget to fic!

vanishing "post" links has me in a "speak now or forever hold your
peace" frame of mind.
