Fic Challenge; 'Guardian Devil'

Okay gang. I was reading some Buffy-rant threads over at the message boards at comicboooresources.com(my favorite being a running argument that Team Rocket could have beat The First Evil), where I found some thoughts regarding how they would have handled Spike that had me thinking. Since I have a few too many plotlines to write myself, I decided to post this idea as a challenge. Here we go:

"GUARDIAN DEVIL"

Set the wayback for Season Six, 'Bargaining Part 1', with the following changes;

1) The biker vamps didn't arrive until ten-to-fifteen minutes later, giving Willow enough time to finish the ritual of Osiris.

2) As part of the Ritual, Willow actually speaks to Buffy's soul, learning to her shock that Buffy was in Heaven, not Hell. Willow begs Buffy's forgiveness, but Buffy loves Willow enough to want to sacrifice her time in Heaven and risk the pains of life and returns with Willow to the land of the living. The difference being that Buffy chose to return and wasn't yanked out of Heaven unwillingly. Fortunately Xander had enough sense to bring a shovel.

3) During the summer while Buffy was dead, Spike had the chip removed without telling anyone.

The main story; Buffy, minus the deathwish of season six, rejoins the world and rebuilds her friendships with the Scoobs, while facing the threat of the newly-dechipped Spike. The problem is that Spike is still devoted to Buffy and Dawn, and would truly sacrifice himself for them. All other humans, including the Scoobs, are HMWL.* Buffy has to fight harder than ever to protect her friends, and especially Willow from her Guardian Devil.
