Really thought I was going to dislike this one when Giles started the
"Flooded" crap again...but I should have known better. It was all a
ploy, and we can keep on liking all the characters. (Well, then, we
can't have that on the show, can we? No wonder Joss/Marti went the
other way in S6 [/bitterness])

Loved Xander's resolve, btw.

Nitpick alertactually, Willow's never seen Ethan cower from Giles.

In "Halloween", Ethan's snarking away at Giles, confident that "Ripper"
is gone forever and Giles sends Willow away just so she won't know what
he's really like and *then* kicks the living shit out of Ethan.

In "The Dark Age", Ethan stands up to Giles the whole time, having
something of the moral high ground and getting confidence from it.

In "Band Candy", Will has already gone back to the library to research
when Buffy/Giles/Joyce/Snyder find Ethan

In "A New Man", Willow/Xander leave the crypt before Giles doubles back
and catches Ethan in premature gloat.
