Song Challenge

Okay this is my first challenge to y'all, been at the back of my mind fer a while now...

 

Here goes nuthin'

 

We're all the way back to the early days of season sux.  Buffy's just finished singing "Give me something to sing about...please give me something..."  Sweet shrugs, Buffy begins the dance of death, she's starting to smoke...and then there's a hand on her shoulder-it's-it's-

 

Well it ain't St. Sunkencheeks.

 

To all our lyrical minded Wiffians:

 

Write a Willowy love song for "Once More with Feeling."  It can be just the song or a song in the context of a fic.  The song can lead to smoochies or not, to snuggles or not, I leave that in the purgative of the writer.  The one requirement:

 

1) The song must be an original.  (Extra points for all Willowy phrases that occur within said song)

“Will…are you asleep?” I heard the soft sound of her voice behind me. She was finished already.

I take a breath to compose myself. “I can’t sleep.” I say in shaky voice.

“Why?” She asked concerned.

“Because… I miss the sound of your heartbeat too much.” I let out with a small whimper.
