So I was checking out the Comic Book Resources site(www.comicbookresources.com), and
read a couple of interesting tidbits regarding some Buffyverse actresses.
First, Sarah Michelle Gellar is rumored to be among the front-runners for
the title role in an upcoming "Wonder Woman" movie. And in an interview
for TV Guide, Charisma Carpenter has announced that she is campaigning for that
role herself. What I want to know is, why don't they just give the role to
Catherine Zeta-Jones and get it over with?
Second, Sam Raimi has evidently stated that Eliza Dushku is his first
choice to play Felicia Hardy, aka the Black Cat, in Spider-Man 3. Uh,
shouldn't we wait until Spider-Man 2 actually hits the theaters? For those
who don't follow the comic book, the Black Cat was once a thrill-seeking cat
burglar who turned to crime to attract the attention of Spider-Man, who was the
object of her romantic designs. She supposedly had the power to alter
probability, to give her opponents bad luck, hence 'Black Cat'. Later
turned out she didn't. Given that Peter Parker finally married MJ Watson
in the comic book, methinks that Felicia would be in SM3 as a romantic spoiler
between Peter and MJ. I personall predict that the main storyline for SM3
will either see Harry Osborn take on the role of Green Goblin and seek
revenge against Spider-Man, or will involve Venom.
