Dark Horse Comics recently put out a graphic novel called "Buffy The Vampire Slayer; The
Origin", which is essentially the story of the movie, rewritten to fit with series continuity. I
think it was written by Christopher Golden, who wrote several Buffy novels as well as the
Watcher's Guide(a program guide for the first two seasons), and has worked closely with
Joss Whedon. If you want to get it right, this book may be the way to do it.
