OT: Beta reader needed

Okay..this is oddly familiar. Mine and Heather's beta reader didn't quite pan out. Crap
happens I guess. So we are in need of a brand spankin new one. Well, not spanking in the
literal sense...unless of course you're into that sort of thing......oh hell, you get the
picture. (note to self: stay on topic!)

We're gonna take 2 or 3 this time to get some different points of perspective. Of course,
us being the nazi bards that we are...there will be some rules.

Spelling
Grammar
Continuity
Plot flow
MSWord editing tool
Comments and Criticisms

The first 2 are no brainers. As far as continuity and plot flow are concerned...we need a
sharp eye to make sure we don't goof on plot points. If I say Buffy's shoes were red in
the first scene...and in the next, Heather has them as being blue..well, you need to pick
up on that sort of thing.

MSWord is out friend. There is an option where you can turn on this nifty little editing
tool. Basically...anything you add is there in red text and anything you delete has a
strike out over it....it probably sounds like a pain, but it's really easy to use once you
get the hang of it.

With comments and criticism...if you don't think a character sounds...well..quite like
themselves..then say so. Also, if you can figure out a different way of wording
something, don't be afraid to delete a whole paragraph and write it the way you would.
Heather and I have gotten into a groove where we've begun to mirror each other's writing
style where you can't tell the two apart...which is a good thing..but sometimes I repeat
something she says and vice versa....get it?

Err..anyhoo...that's about it...only reply to us if you're serious about undertaking this
daunting task. Our 'Episodes' go anywhere between 27 and 35 pages....of course we send it
in parts...we're not THAT big of slave drivers after all...*grin*
