FIC: An evening in the forest (AKA my answer to shadows challenge)

Pairing: a blonde rabbit and a red fox
Notes: When I saw Shadows challenge I almost rolled out of my chair 
laughing as I considered all the wonderful possibilities it posed. So I 
gathered my insanity and a evening in the forest was born. So as stated in 
the challenge all the Scoobies are small forest animals and Angel a Vampiric 
Teddy bear. Please forgive me in advance if this story is on silly side, I 
am just in that kind of mood today. Hope you enjoy this little side trip 
into the woods. Any feedback shall be appreciated. So with further ado 
here we go.

The Red fox smiled as she saw the adorable Blonde rabbit coming down Pipers 
trail, she kept on eye on the rabbit as she slowly crept into some under 
bush. This was going to be so much fun thought the fox as she waited for 
the rabbit to get closer. Suddenly she felt a tap on her shoulder, the fox 
cocked her head to the left only to see her companion standing there, 
?Buffyhowdoyoukeepdoingthat.?

The rabbit grinned at the red fox but didn't say a thing. Willow looked at 
Buffy wandering what was going through the Bunny slayers mind, ?What??

?Nothing I was just thing how cute it is when you run your words together 
like that,? answered the blonde rabbit.

Willow returned the blonde rabbits smile, ?You still haven't answered my 
question.?

?It?s a bunny slayer thing.?

?Oh, so where were you headed.?

?Actually I was looking for you, to see if you wanted to go over to tadpole 
pond with me for some Froggy cola and maybe a little dancing.?

?Sounds cool, it?s a date?

Tadpole pond was hoppin? to the techno dance beat of the house band The 
Lounge Lizards as Buffy and Willow made their way over to the table already 
occupied by a Cordelia and Xander. They sat down accrosed from their two 
friends and Buffy looked at the escaped circus monkey, ?So Xander, where is 
you little red motor scooter??

Xander shook his head then rubbed the red fez he was wearing before 
responding to the Buffy?s teasing, ?Knock it off already, you know very 
well that the reason I ran away from the circus in the first place was 
because I was afraid to ride that stupid motor scooter.?

?I?m sorry, I just can?t resist. I mean after all you?re willing to help 
fight vampires and Gecko demons, but you're afraid to ride a silly little 
motor scooter,? Buffy paused for a second then looked straight at the 
ex-circus monkey, ?Besides I thought you left because the pay was peanuts.?

Willow who had been sipping on a froggy cola as she listened to Buffy 
picking on Xander laughed so hard that she shot some of the soda out her 
nose. This caused Buffy to fall out of her chair laughing.

The peacock in Cordelia wanted to craw under the table in embarrassment as 
she saw all the unwelcome attention that her two friends were drawing. 
Xander just shook his head in disbelief that the two of them still found 
Buffy?s silly circus monkey jokes funny after three years, ?Are you ever 
going to get tired of making those ridiculous monkey jokes??

Buffy picked herself up of the floor and hopped back into her seat next to 
Willow. She Looked at her little red fox then turned to Xander with a 
wicked smile accrosed her face, ?Nope, as long as Willow keeps shooting 
froggy cola out her nose I am going to keep telling them.?

Angel sat alone at a table of in the far corner of tadpole pond and watched 
as Buffy and Willow regained their composer. The vampire Teddy bears face 
filled with jealously and envy as he watched the red fox lean over and 
quickly lick the Bunny slayers ear. Its not fair that Buffy should have 
Willow all to herself, all he really wanted was for the blonde rabbit to at 
least share the fox with him. However he knew that was not going to happen, 
Buffy had made it very clear to him when he first approached her on the 
subject that her and Willow were exclusive. Angel then got up and walked 
out of tadpole pond unnoticed by the Bunny slayer and her friends.

Buffy and Willow were preparing to leave when Two ferrets walked up to the 
table. One of the ferrets looked directly at Willow and spoke, ?Willow fox 
would you mind coming down to Forest central with us. We have a few 
questions for you.?

?About what,? Inquired Willow.

?The mysterious disappearance of Mr. Toad,? replied the ferret.

Buffy jumped up from the table and looked the two ferrets dead in the eye, 
?How come you want to talk to Willow, she wouldn't harm a fly,? shouted the 
Bunny slayer.

?There is evidence that points to her,? replied the ferret.

?Such as?

?Well we found red fox fur in Mr. Toads residents and a magic book dropped 
in the bushes outside. If you can show us another red fox who happens to be 
a witch then we won?t take her in for questioning,? replied the ferret.

Buffy turned away from the ferrets and looked at Xander and Cordelia, ?I 
need you guys to go get Giles and then go to forest central,? she then 
turned to Willow, ?Don?t worry I get to the bottom of this. I might have 
an idea of what happened to Mr. toad.?

Willow looked at the Bunny slayer, ?What??

?I think it is time to pay Riley and his friends a little visit.?

Willow saw what Buffy was saying and nodded in agreement, she then turned to 
the ferrets, ?Alright lets go.?

Buffy stood in front of tadpole pond as she watched Willow walk off with the 
ferrets. She then turned to leave and noticed Angel standing over by a 
tree. When the brooding teddy bear saw that he had been spotted he walked 
over to the blonde rabbit.

?What happened?? Inquired Angel.

?Someone's taken Mr. Toad and is trying to frame Willow for it.?

?Any Ideas on who??

?Yeah I think Riley is behind it. Him and the other weasels are still upset 
that Willow and me were able to take out Spike, the vampire raccoon, after 
they failed to do so.?

?So you think the weasels set Willow up to get revenge.?

?Yeah, I do.?

?Need any help??

?You can tag along as long as you don?t nag me about why while I won?t share 
Willow with you.?

A frown came accrosed the Teddy bears face and he paused for a second before 
answering, ?Deal.?

Cordelia watched as Xander quickly made his way up Giles tree and began 
knocking on the watchers small wooden door. After a few moments the door 
opened and a gray owl walked out, ?Xander what do you want??

?G-man Buffy sent me to get you, we have to get to forest central ASAP.?

?Forest central, What happened,? Inquired Giles as he wondered what possible 
trouble the Bunny slayer had gotten into this time.

?Someone has kidnapped Mr. Toad and is trying to frame Willow for it.?

?Alright I meet you there,? replied Giles before taking off into the night 
sky.

Buffy and Angel looked through a small window into the weasels lair. They 
could see Mr. Toad tied up in a chair in the middle of the room as several 
of the weasels, including Riley sat at a table playing cards. The blonde 
rabbit turned to the Teddy bear, ?Just as I though, how dare they try to 
frame Willow. You ready.?

As soon as Angel had replied that he was ready Buffy hopped through the 
window landing square in the middle of the table. Riley jumped up and 
shouted to the other weasels to seize her as angel climbed through the 
window wishing that Buffy would have taken the time to come up with a plan 
before she jumped into the weasels lair.

Three weasels ran at Buffy only to be met by a barrage of kicks and punches 
from an enraged Bunny slayer that sent them flying in every direction. The 
fight did not last that long and when the dust cleared only Buffy, Angel, 
and Riley were standing. Buffy walked over to the remaining weasel, grabbed 
him by his fur, and lifted him up off the ground.

?You better start talking,? screamed the Bunny slayer.

?Alright but please put me down first,? pleaded the pathetic weasel.

Buffy tossed him up against a nearby wall and walked over to where he 
landed, ?Talk?

?We took Mr. toad and left a magic book and some fur to pin it on that red 
fox of yours. But it looks like you figured it out, so take the stupid frog 
and go.?

As Buffy looked down at Riley her eyes filled with anger, ?I intend on doing 
that but first this is for Willow.? The Bunny slayer then proceeded to kick 
the living daylights out of the weasel.

Giles had been trying to get Willow released for over an hour but the chief 
of ferrets would not listen to him. He couldn?t believe how stubborn the 
ferrets were being, in their minds they had practically convicted Willow on 
nothing but circumstantial evidence. He turned away from the chief ferrets 
desk and walked over to the bench in against the wall to join Xander and 
Cordelia before he said something he might regret later.

The former Circus monkey turned away from his peacock girlfriend and looked 
at the gray owl, ?So G-man, any luck on getting Willow sprung from this 
place.?

?I?m afraid not, they have practically already determined that she is 
guilty. It looks like its solely up to Buffy to clear her.?

The ferret was starting to get agitated, he had tried every form of 
questioning the law would allow and still the red fox denied any knowledge 
of Mr. Toads disappearance. He paced back in forth in front of the fox 
trying to intimidate her some more.

Willow sat there watching as the ferret walked back and forth, she couldn?t 
believe this was happening to her. She was tired, cold and hungry, but they 
wouldn't let her leave, and refused to believe her when she repeatedly told 
them she didn?t have anything to do with Mr. frogs disappearance. A tear 
rolled down the Red foxes cheek as she thought about the predicament she 
was end, <I hope Buffy gets her soon.>

The door to forest central was thrust open and Buffy walked in dragging a 
rather beaten up Riley behind her. Angel and Mr. Toad followed in behind 
her. The Bunny slayer walked over to the chief ferrets desk and tossed the 
weasel on top of it, ?I believe you can let My Willow go now,? triumphantly 
sounded the Bunny slayer.

Angel watched as Buffy and Willow walked away from forest central and headed 
towards their burrow. A blood tear rolled down the teddy bears face as he 
felt the jealousy consume him once again, It wasn?t fair, why wouldn't the 
Bunny slayer share.

Back at the Burrow Buffy laid on her back in their bed. every muscle in her 
body tightened as another wave of pleasure swept over her. She moved her 
hand down until she could feel the red foxes head, she then began to gently 
run her fingers through her lovers silky coat. Willow looked up at her with 
a mischievous grin and began to chuckle.

?What's so funny,? inquired Buffy.

The smile on Willows face grew wider then she replied, ?The humans on the 
edge of the woods are right, it Taste just like chicken.?

Sorry but I couldn?t resist the last joke. Hope this wasn?t to lame for 
everyone, but I did have a good time writing it.
