Thanks for the feedback. If I ever get the time to read, as opposed to
writing, life and work, I'll get to the 200+ story instalments that I've yet
to get to.

You ask great questions, and all I'll say is that Buffy's twin does have an
important role to play, and at this point there are no other doubles/twins.
(That does not mean that my fevered brain won't have them pop up, just that
I've not blocked them in the story.)
