I use and old version of Eudora Lite, which will only display messages in
plain text. All I get for any banner is a few lines of text. Makes 'em
easy to ignore. In fact, until this discussion started, I hadn't even
noticed they were banners. Just assumed they were part of the usual gunk I
get whenever anyone sends anything other than plain text. I'm so used to
having to ignore 70% of an email to find the actual message that I didn't
even register them. Now I notice that Quin has been sending messages in
plain text, with no html gunk at all, which means that this gunk that is
there is all commercials. I'd be annoyed, but it's still a tiny amout of
clutter compared to the mass of junk that's in Chazzman's reply post. The
html code garble I got with that sucker is four times as long as the
message. The ads are too small in that to matter.
Hmm... the point of all that is, sorry, but the ads don't really bother me.
Got too many other problems with my email. I should stop posting now and go
eat dinner. Low blood sugar is causing loss of brain function.
