Vampires can enter public buildings. Remember that no vampire ever seemed
to have any trouble walking into Sunnydale High School. When Buffy was in
the hospital and Angelus was after her, the gang posted Xander as a guard.
This implies that a guard was needed. Both Xander and Angelus acted as
though Angelus could get into Buffy's room during their confrontation in the
hospital hallway. I think it's safe to assume that no one invited Angelus
into Buffy's hospital room. When Angel visited Cordelia in the hospital in
the Angel season finale, he walked into the room without an invite from
Cordy. She was unconscious at the time.

Don't have a clue on this one. The mid 40's guess sounds good to me.

Acathla was not destroyed. Giles tells the gang at the end of Becoming 2
that he checked the mansion and Acathla is dormant. That means he's sealed
up, but still around somewhere. We also know that he isn't still sitting
where Buffy left him. We kinda would have noticed him in all the scenes
that were set in that same room during seasion 3. I would assume that
either Giles or the Watchers Council arranged to have him buried somewhere
or something. Seems like if he'd been stolen by bad guys or mysteriously
dissapeared, the gang would have at least shown some alarm about it.
