I think this is the way it is:

1) Vampire Invitation.

Vampires must be invited into a persons residence, be that residence a 
palace, hut, apartment, pup tent, or cardboard box. Hospitals would fall into 
a buffet classification with other public and commercial buildings, including 
corporate locations.

2) Joyce's Age

It was established that Joyce was still in collage when she became pregnant 
with Buffy, so she would have been between 18 to 22. I get the impression 
from both the show and fics I've read that she was 20 to 22. That's just a 
personal idea.

3) Acathla

Acathla was a statue that when the proper ritual was performed could come 
alive and swallow the Earth into Hell. Buffy needed to spill the blood of the 
person who performed the ritual to reseal the opening. 
Acathla is still waiting for someone to perform 
the awakening ritual.
