"Cordelia, where is the coffee?" Angel is still half asleep.

"It's in your office." answers the brown haired woman. "Have you seen
Wesley, A walking poster for caffeine abuse. So I tried to hide it."

Angel looks at her and starts to say something when her face contorts in
pain.

"The gang is in trouble." she gasps. "I saw Drusilla and a vamped out
Buffy!"

"Buffy! wake up or we will be late for class!" This finally rouses the
young vampire. She jumps out of bed, dresses and is out the door of their
room before Willow can blink.

Willow catches up with her wife in time to see her recoiling from the sun.

"Damn, how can I get to class with that thing in the sky?" fumes Buffy.
"There ought to be a law about dangerous things like that."

Willow kisses her and hands her a sheet of paper. "Here silly, have a map
of the tunnels on campus. I down-loaded it from the college network."

Buffy looks at the map and says "What would I do without my Willow? Lets
go."

Together they enter the basement on their way to class.

That night on patrol.

Buffy is fighting a large angry Demon. It is mostly angry because Willow
cast a spell sticking its feet, all four of them, to the ground.

Buffy finishes it off and look at her mate. "Way to go Willow. Is it my
imagination or are your spells getting stronger?"

"They are stronger." grins the triumphant Witch. "Giles says it is a
combination of being immortal and being more confidant. Both due to you."
She kisses her partner.

"Um Buffy, there is a vampire behind you." the Wiccan doesn't sound too
worried. "It's Angel."

Buffy spins around to look at a rather surprised Angel.

"Do you always kiss after a successful slaying?" asks the bemused vampire.

"Well we've been married less than two weeks." says a surprised Buffy. "It
is supposed to slow down after the first few decades."

"Married? How? When?" the normally cool vampire splutters.

"Lets go to the Giles' place and meet the others." suggests Willow. "We
can explain it all there."

As they leave a female figure steps out of the shadows. "So the slayer has
a sweetie. Miss Edith was right. Now is the time to get Angelus back for
good."

At Giles they are telling Angel all that has happened. Cordelia is also
with them.

"So, you are a souled vampire like Angel?" asks Cordy. "And married to
Willow?"

"Not quite. My soul is permanent." clarifies Buffy. "And since the vampire
must be soulless, willing and in love I can't see it for him."

"I agree." says Giles. "I don't see Angelus volunteering for a soul."

For a second Cordelia looks sad.

"So why Willow and not that Riley person?" inquires curious Cordelia.

"Willow was the one I was, and am in love with. When Spike suggested
killing her first, I freaked. Then I dusted him."

"So what brings you two to Sunnydale?" queries Buffy.

"I had a vision." says Cordelia. "It had Drusilla and vampire Buffy in it."

"Drusilla!" they all chorus.

"When did you start having visions?" asks Giles.

"When Doyle died." she says. "They hurt and I don't like talking about
them."

The next night Buffy and Angel are looking for Drusilla.

"So how is married life?" asks Angel. "Cliched I know, but still."

"Great." says Buffy with a happy smile. "No big fights yet."

She suddenly staggers. "Willow! something happened to Willow." She takes
off for Giles with Angel hot on her heels.

They find a rather battered englishman binding his wounds.

"Willow and Cordelia were going out for groceries, when some vampires
grabbed them." he says. "They left a message for you from Drusilla. 'Meet
me at the mansion. Just the slayer and Angelus.'"

They load up on weapons and head out.

Willow and Cordelia are unconscious and tied up in the living room of the
mansion.

Drusilla is talking to her dolls. "Soon I'll have my Angel back and he will
help me kill that nasty slayer."

Angel and Buffy come in. Drusilla makes a few gestures at Angel and says a
few words in some arcane language. Angel freezes with a smile on his face.

"What did you do to Willow?" demands the vamped out slayer. "If you've hurt
her..."

"Aw, the slayer is a vamp with a soul, I'll fix that." She repeats the
spell she put on Angel.

Willow wakes up and sees the two entranced vampires.

"So you are awake little witch." croons the mad vampire. "I will let the
slayer eat you when she wakes."

Willow casts a spell causing Drusilla to burst into flames. Soon she is
just a pile of ashes.

When Buffy snaps out of her trance only Willow is left in the room. She
unties her partner.

"Where is everyone?" she asks.

"Drusilla is ashes, Angel grabbed Cordelia and ran off. What did she do to
you."

"Oh no! That spell caused me to experience the happiest time of my life,
our marriage." she explains. "If she did the same to Angel..."

"Then it was Angelus who has Cordelia." continues the stricken Willow.

When Cordelia wakes up she is alone with Angelus.

"Cordelia, how do you feel about me?" asks the vampire.

She looks him in the eye. "I hate you Angelus. How did she kill Angel."

"She cast a spell that made me experience complete happiness." says the
still shaken vampire. "Now answer my question."

"I love him." she says sadly. "Why else would I work for a vampire. The
benefits certainly aren't much."

"Do you know what I saw?"

"You and Buffy together, I suppose."

"No, it was you and I, together forever." He looks at her. "The trance
lasted as long as it did because even after I felt my soul leave, it still
made me happy."

He drops to one knee in front of the stunned woman.

"Cordelia Chase, Will you marry me?"

She blinks, opens and close her mouth and finally asks "Like Willow and
Buffy? With your soul back?"

"Exactly like Willow and Buffy. With my soul back."

"Then YES!" she cries with tears in her eyes.

"Good." He hands her a cell phone. "While you make the arrangements, I am
going to get some thing to eat. At the butchers, I won't eat anyone."

He walks out muttering to himself. "I guess even the great Giles can be
wrong."

Giles is experiencing deja-vu as he once again finds himself performing a
marriage between a vampire and a mortal.

Angelus is putting a ring on Cordelia's finger. "With this ring I thee
wed."

"You may now kiss the bride."

As the couple kiss the glow is blinding and the Angelic Chorus can be
plainly heard. It actually sounds a bit smug.

Later as they all sit around talking.

"Of course it was clearer, Buffy." explains Willow. "You chose to stay good
while Angeles turned from Evil to Good."

"I agree." says Giles. "Penance and reward in one package."

"Penance and reward?" asks a puzzled Willow.

"Well it is Cordelia we are talking about." smirks Buffy to the laughter of
all present.

"Tell me about it." confirms Xander.

"I so resent that." says the object of laughter. "Just wait, Angel. You
know what they say about payback."

"What I don't understand..." says Xander. "Is why would Dead Boy want to
marry anyone."

"Vampires are many things." explains Angel. "Strong, evil, vicious Etc. But
one thing we are not, is happy. Given the chance he/I jumped at it."

"In my brief stint as Soulless Girl, I mostly felt envy of the living."
confirms Buffy. "Then I got real lucky." looking at Willow who gets a big
goofy grin.

They all clean up and go home.

Even later that night Cordelia lies dreaming with her husband, while in
another part of town the Slayer and the Hacker do the same.
