FF: Two Worlds (Epilogues)
This is it! The End is only 1629 words away. I would like to take this
chance before you embark on the final chapter to tell you how much fun I
have had writing this story. Granted it has had it ups and downs, both
regarding the story itself and the quality of my writing. It has seen two
B/W awards (the second one being seriously fun) and survived two computer
crashes. It almost got dropped in the late summer of 2000, but through the
interest of a single dedicated reader who is now my beta I kept at it. I've
sensed a growing fanbase for this story as it has progressed and it is in
the honour of those who read it that I will not retire until the sequel is
completed. I'm still working on my other story "BtVS 2117 Phase II" and I
think my mind can still come up with a few new ideas. Also a new story is in
the development stages it's title is "Slayer-X", but whether or not it will
be written remains to be seen. Okay you can finish Two Worlds now.
Yours faithful bard,
Cilia

First Epilogue: Queen Piratess of Necris
The Queen of Necris sat behind her work desk. Strewn with maps and plans of
battles to come, the desktop was barely even visible. There was a soft knock
at her door followed by the entry of a blonde, notably pregnant, woman.
"My Queen," she said with a bow.
"General Summers," the Queen greeted as she stood.
"Hello, Tessa," Elisabeth said with a smile now that the formalities
were out of the way.
"Hello, Elisabeth," Piratess said as she hugged the General she had
come to think of as her friend. "Why the tears, my friend?" she asked, the
concern visible in her eyes.
"I'm leaving, Tessa. I just came to say goodbye," the Slayer
explained as she wiped her tears away.
"The child?" the Queen asked as she guided her to a chair.
The Slayer nodded sadly, "Among other things. I..." the Slayer had
to take a deep breath before saying the next word, "betrayed... my wife, my
Willow, and now I have to face the music," she said.
"Face... the music?" Piratess asked with a puzzled expression that
caused Elisabeth to smile.
"Face the consequences of my actions. Besides, the way things look,
this realm won't be safe for much longer," she explained. "And I won't be of
much help to anyone like this." She added, rubbing her stomach.
"Then I wish you a good journey, my friend. Your sword will be here,
awaiting your return," she said as she motioned to the sword that rested in
its scabbard above the hearth.
"If you ever need me, after the baby is born that is, just open a
portal and I'll be here," Elisabeth said as she looked at the sword. There
was a soft knock at the open door.
"Grimm, please come in," Piratess said as she spotted the thief.
"I should be going now," the Slayer said as she made a gesture and
attempted to stand.
"No, stay. This is something I want you to hear," the Queen said as
she placed a hand on the thieves shoulder.
"Uh, oh... This isn't something I'm going to regret, is it?" the
thief asked with a nervous smile.
"I don't know, Grimm, how does the title of Ambassador sound?"
Piratess asked and Elisabeth fought hard to not giggle at the thief's
bewildered action.
"But... I... uh, but... you... what?" the thief stammered.
"It's agreed then, good. You will set out for the City of Larken...
tomorrow," she said with a sly smile. After a few moments of
congratulations, the Slayer and after receiving help standing up, she
excused herself from the room and closed the door behind her with a smile.
Things would be all right with her away.
Second Epilogue: Moondancer
Cordelia wrapped her arms around Stjar'a and held on for dear life as the
waves of pleasure rocked her body. Biting back the urge to jump away and run
from the chaos her consort harbored within, she instead embraced it, used it
to balance out her own heart and for a moment she was whole again. She was
actually Cordelia Chase once more, but when the passion faded, she was
Moondancer, Guardian of Order.
"Wow!" she breathed as she lovingly stroked her ast'one's silvery
hair.
"Wow, indeed," Stjar'a muttered with a smile of her own.
"You know I can't. stay long," Cordelia whispered with a sad smile.
"Yeah, I know," the drow princess said as she kissed her lovers
forehead.
"I promise that one day, I will find a way to control it, then we
can be together," Cordelia said firmly. "Forever."
"And I will wait for that day, my love," Stjar'a said with a sleepy
smile. "After all, time is on my side and apparently your as well," she
added. Cordelia smiled and kissed her again, before she rolled out of the
bed and began dressing.
It would be some time before she could be with Stjar'a again. She had
planned a trek deep into the Great Forest and then possibly into the
wilderness beyond. And maybe she would even travel to the High Elf City.
Still, she would try to gather her resolve again and see her lover one last
time before she left on her walkabout. Fastening the purple cloak, the color
of Stjar'a's house, with a silver rose, she took one last look at her
consorts naked and now sleeping form and sighed.
Third Epilogue: Joyce Summers and Al'x Sun
Joyce turned away from the portal as it disappeared, taking her daughter and
her friend Spike back home. Al'x waited on a nearby hill, glad to be back in
his gold armor. He was holding the reigns to two horses, one white, and the
other black with a white flame on its forehead.
"You ready to go?" he asked handing her the black ones reigns.
Joyce smiled and kissed him full on the lips. "I'm always ready to go
anywhere with you, my shining knight" she answered with a sly smile.
She had talked to Ziel and to her relief being with Al'x didn't go against
the way of things. In fact, the priestess had encouraged her to embrace it.
So she did, and was loving every minute of it.
"Ah 'ope ye weren planin' on leavin' wit out us," a gruff dwarf
voice asked as Gymli came marching towards the group, leading a small,
dwarven bred horse. Following him was Ziel, leading a red horse and wearing
the brown and greens of a forest elf, but her white cloak still marked her
as a priestess.
"We wouldn't dream of it," Al'x said innocently as he lifted his new
girlfriend onto her saddle then jumped on his own horse, the others
following suit. They started down the road leading to the northern border,
the sun high in the air and not a cloud in sight. After a few short minutes,
they came across another rider, a female elf on pale warhorse with a bow
slung over her shoulder and a sword at her hip.
"I was wondering when you two where going to show up?" Al'x asked
with a smile. The rider looked up and smiled with her miss-colored eyes
shinning with laughter.
"We're a team, are we not?" she asked in an echoing voice and Joyce
smiled at the sight of the ethereal wings, which only she saw.
"Dat we are, lassy... or is it lad now?," Gymli joked as he spurred
his stout little horse onwards just to be safe distance from Theris's
reaction. "Ya'll a'comin'?" he asked over his shoulder when no raised bow
where visible. The team exchanged glances, shrugged, and followed the dwarf.
Battles and adventures awaited them on the northern roads.
Fourth Epilogue: Homecoming
Buffy looked up at Spike's Mansion. She was back in San Francisco and would
most likely stay there until her child was born. She smiled, as she looked
down at her belly, now considerably bigger with her now six months along.
"Oh m'lords. Can it be?" Auntie June, Spike's maid and cook,
exclaimed as she opened the doors.
"Hi, Auntie June," Buffy greeted her with a smile and a hug when she
saw the old woman who had patiently listen to her rant and rave about Willow
when they were apart and had made all those strawberry sandwiches without
question.
"Is your darling wife not with you?" the woman asked as she pulled
Buffy into the house and looked behind her.
"Ah, no. She... stayed behind. It's... a long story," Buffy said
quietly as she stepped into the mansion. The older woman looked at the
Slayer eyes and nodded.
"You just come tell Auntie June all about it over nice hot cup of
cocoa. I'll even put in some of those little marshmallows I know you like,"
she said and placed a hand on the Slayer's back to guide her into the
kitchen. She motioned for Spike, who was at her side instantly at the
mention of little marshmallows, to take the bags up the Slayers room. He
just nodded and complied.
Upstairs, Luna Argent-Blood rested, also pregnant with a girl and although
the doctors said that things were alright, she sensed that something was not
as it should be.
Fifth Epilogue: June Xare Summers
Buffy was crushing someone's hand. It might have been Giles' or maybe
Spike's, she wasn't really sure and she didn't really care right now. She
was only sure of two things, she was in pain, a lot of it, and she was
never, ever, for any reason having another baby.
"Breath, dear, breath," Auntie June, who had been with her since her
arrival back home, urged her gently.
"You... breath." she hissed through gritted teeth.
"Come on, Elisabeth, one more push," the doctor instructed. "You can
do it, push!"
The doctor was a nice enough woman, but Buffy swore that if she
heard the word push one more time, she was going to hit her.
"Here it... goes!" she exclaimed and gave it all she had left. Damn,
with Slayer strength one would have thought this would be easy. There was a
tiny cry, and the next thing she knew, something warm, and wonderful was
being placed in her arms.
"It's a beautiful baby girl," the doctor exclaimed. "Just like her
mother."
Buffy, almost crying herself looked down at the crying bundle in her
arms and smiled. Her eyes were barely staying open as she watched the little
girl grab her finger.
"Hello there... June Xare," the Slayer whispered to her daughter
noticing before blissful sleep overcame her that her daughter's eyes were
miss-colored one blue and the other green. Auntie June gently picked up the
baby and handed her to the waiting house nurse. Stroking the Slayer's brow
gently, the old woman smiled. Things would work out for the Slayer, she was
sure of it.
