Fanfic Challenge; Dawn

Hey guys.

It's been getting a little quiet on the old list, and I understand we have reruns for the next two weeks(forestalling the inevitable Buffy/Riley breakup, Joss?), so in order to break the monotony, I hereby drop the gauntlet to my fellow bards.

In a recent ep, Dawn mentioned something that happened to her shortly after she, Buffy and Joyce moved to Sunnydale, involving Joyce renting out a carousel for Dawn's birthday. That gave me this idea. It's not necessarily a Buffy/Willow shipper story idea, but if you want to make it a Buffy/Willow shipper, I won't stop you.

My challenge is this; find a favorite scene from the first four seasons of Buffy, and rewrite it to include Dawn. How does Dawn remember pivotal moments in Buffy's life? Possible examples;

* Dawn comes home from school, only to find her mom and Giles making out, under the influence of the band candy.

* Willow bares her soul to Dawn when Buffy runs away from home after killing Angel.

* Dawn sitting on the stairs, listening in when Buffy and Joyce blow up in "Becoming 2".

* Dawn tries to talk some sense into her mom and the rest of MOO when they try to burn Buffy at the stake for witchcraft.

* Dawn sneaks into Buffy's room just after they move to Sunnydale, and discovers the stakes, crosses and holy water. She starts asking questions...

So, who's up for it?
