Your theory isn't as far fetched as you might think. 

There is an H.P. Lovecraft novel that skims over the original tales of
the old ones it's called "The Dunwich Horror" and it is based on the
premise of a female chosen to open the way for the Old Ones to once
again enter this realm and bring about the end of the era of mankind.

I know it's not B/W but it raises some interesting questions of where
Joss is headed this season huh.
