The next new episode of Season Five(episode 10, "Into The Woods"), airs on the Nineteenth of December. While I'm not going to reveal the actual plot, I do have four major plot points regarding the episode. Three of them are, IMHO, good news. The other one, well, you can decide.

1) The one I'm not sure about. We will learn the secret of the connection between Ben and Glory. Apparently they are brother and sister, who were thrown out of their native realm and forced to remain mortal for some reason. Glory seeks the key to reclaim her immortality, thereby dooming mankind, while Ben opposes her, liking the mortal world. How Ben and the Scooby Gang interact will be key(pun not intended) to the second half of the season. Dunno if I like Ben all that much. He's an improvement over Riley, but so's a karate practice dummy. At least Buffy can use one of those.

2) Good news part 1; Joyce's surgery was a success, and the prognosis is good for a full recovery from her tumor.

3) Good news part 2; Drusilla's back, and gunning for Spike. But now Spike's firmly on Buffy's side, much to the Cardboard Boyfriend's dismay. And speaking of Captain Testosterone---

4) Good news part 3; Our long national nightmare is over! Spike manages to spoil Buffy's peace over her mother's recovery by telling her about Riley's trolling for vampires. By the end of the episode, Buffy will return to Riley's apartment, only to find a note on his bed, saying simply, "You never loved me." Riley, meanwhile, will be on his way back to the military. Yes, that's right, Riley Finn is leaving us. Marc Blucas is being written out. And it looks like Buffy will not exactly be mourning her loss. I think Ben and Spike will be fighting over Buffy for a while.

There are other fun tidbits on the site, but these are the only ones that looked verified. Anything after the next ep or so could change at a moment's notice.
