Item: this was one **** of a digest (I get the list by digest because it
keeps the e-box tidier. It just makes saving a burden.

Cilia: Don't know. I would hardly ever use a beta myself (pride and a
distaste for rewrites), unless I was co-authoring with someone. I'd say
it's your call: if you feel confident about what you've written post, and
just put a bye-line in that your beta up-and-died temporarily.
I do think it sounds like the angry mob are gathering and getting the
pitchforks out, though.

Possible new story idea (my one): okay -- I'll consider writing it, once
Fables is over. And, yes, fear not, Drusilla (why has a shiver just gone
down my spine ?), there is a kicker coming: this is not a bonding story
(okay, there'll be some bonding, but probably not what people expect -- I
may end up cross-posting to a Willowslash site)
Thanks for the feedback/support. I was just woriied someone else had done
the idea, or had it on the blocks.

Liked the Cordy the goth-girl image (was this before, after or during the
deputy park ranger phase ?), also the fact that she can remember stuff when
she has a reason to. Spike as Jack I don't buy, for two reasons: firstly
the body shape and secondly the voice: they're both wrong -- Jack was tall,
Spike isn't; and he spoke with a refined accent (the illiterate note to the
newspapers was a red herring, and was tied to the attempt to involve the
Masons). The likeliest Jacks (in reality) are Kosinski the Pole, or the
Canadian barber-surgeon. But that doesn't stop either of them having been
the body for an indwelling demon spirit.

Shyfox: Small (and Xander-esque) happy dance. We know it will work out: we
just need you to write HOW it works out.

I have to go now and oversee a small stuffed bear doing washing-up.
