I'm bored, anyone up for a challenge?

Good morning everyone! Apperently I have nothing better to be doing right now. Considering that it is 2 in the morning I understand why. But that is not why I'm here. I'm here because it's 2 in the morning and I'm bored as hell. My entire body is tired but I am nowhere near sleepy. I hope you know I was going through my e-mails and I found stuff from back in November. I just turned a 500+ file into just over 100 and now I have nothing to do. So, considering the fact that my mind doesn't want to stop at 2 in the morning, I started thinking. Actually, this has been on my mind for some time.

I was reading through some pieces of fiction and I was coming across quite a bit of SongFics. And I thought to myself "Buffy and Will must be some of the most cultured people I've ever read about." These girls listen to all types of music from every genre almost. They got the happy tunes and the angst tunes, they listen to everything. And even if they're not listening to the music in some fics, I still think that's it's cool that so many people can associate them with so many types of music.

And this is what I came up with because I don't want to go to sleep yet. Here is the challenge.


Write a story, short would be best but anything is good too, where the girls are actually talking about their music collection. Just let the girls talk about all they listen to and maybe how the music reminds them of each other. And here are some guidelines (rules sounds too bossy).

Must have:

Either or both girls listening to the New Kids On The Block. Any album, any song, your choice.

And it should include as many songs as you can think of that other writers have used. If you need to look in the archives or ask the writers.


Should include at least 2 of these:

> Buffy going to visit Faith and Will getting upset because she knows about their past

> Reference to Xena (Norse trilogy would be the best)

> All My Children (Bianca coming out on 12/21 or how Bianca feels about Laura. So sue me, I'm a Bianca/Laura shipper)

> Anything from Will & Grace

> Hollywood Girlfriends
ex: Ellen and her new GF
Jodie Foster & Gillian Anderson (if I heard correctly)
Melissa Etheridge's breakup with Julie


Or any of the following lines:

"Wouldn't it be weird (Will/Buffy), if everything was just like some made up t.v. show?"


B - "If I had a choice I would be Gabrielle."
W - "But Xena is the Warrior Princess, Buffy."
B - "Yeah, but Gabby always has the girls after her."


W - "Damn! Now that is a woman."
B - "You...you think she's sexy?"
W - "Ye...I mean...no. No, no, no. She's nothing compared to you."


W - "What did you ever see in him?"
B - "I...I...well, I really don't know."
W - "I'm just happy he's gone."
B - "Yeah, me too."

(in these last two, you fill in for the woman & him)


And now it's later than when I started so I am getting a bit tired. Those are all the guides I can think of right now, besides I'm not a picky person. But either way, I've set the challenge, if anyone would care to give it a shot great. But either way, I'm off to bed. Laters all.
