OT: My Christmas
Just a few lines to share my Christmas experience with you all.
My computer is still dead and looks like it won't be fixed for about 3 weeks
(if at all). I'm currently using my brothers laptop as he is on a South
Pacific cruise for about 2 weeks. Grumble.
My long suffering girlfriend (who hates Buffy but who thinks it OK for me to
watch it as, in her words, "If you are here watching Buffy, then you aren't
down the pub with your mates.") gave me the boxed set of Buffy season 1 on
DVD. Very cool. Would be even cooler if I had my computer so I could watch
them.
It was the general opinion that the Buffy on DVD would be hard to top. But I
did.
I got down on bended knee, produced a ring with a fair old hunk of diamond,
and asked her to marry me.
Admidst all the screaming and tears I think she said yes. So sooner or later,
I'm going to have to get married (although if the entire female cast of Buffy
were to ask me to be their snuggle monkey then all bets are off.)
In short, I'm trading in my whips and chains for a ball and chain. And loving
it.

"It's funny that when people talk of marriage the words 'commitment' and
'institution' keep coming up." me.
