2 Answers: 
1) Sorry, I'm not a Giles/Cordelia 'shipper - at all. I'm very 
boring in that respect and think that Cordy and Xander were made for 
each other. I mean, what is Anya if not a Cordelia substitute. So, 
yes, I'm afraid that she was there to do homework.

2) Xander, if you'll cast your mind back, had been dropped off at 
some undetermined location after interrupting the girlies at the make 
out point where Cordelia had left him. I totally forgot about Oz or 
he would have been in there too. I had plans for them to go to the 
mansion and be interrupted by Angel but I thought that would be 
rubbing his nose in it too much and decided to spare him.
