New Moon Broken, Fragment.

Oz looked Tara in the eyes as he felt the change take hold.
"Run!" he exclaimed.
Tara bolted. Corridors and doors and cold, slippy tiles flashed 
past until she reached the cool, empty lecture theatre. Dead-end.
She didn't even have time to scream before the werewolf savagely 
ripped out her throat.

Buffy answered the phone at Giles' house. With Adam still on the 
loose and Willow, well, preoccupied by Oz's return, she'd taken a 
shot at being research girl.
"Hello?" she queried.
"Buffy?" Riley's voice sounded strangely dull and lifeless over the 
phone. "We've had another HST attack on campus. We lost some of our 
guys and..." He broke off.
Buffy swallowed. "Riley?"
"Buffy, Tara's dead."
"Oh my God!" Buffy sank to her knees in shock. It'd been only a few 
hours earlier that she'd found out Tara and Willow were an 
item. "Adam?"
A pause. "No... Buffy, it was Oz."
