Hey Alex!

Glad to have you back, and like pretty much the entire list I look forward to the conclusion of your story. Okay, maybe not the WHOLE list, there wasthat good for nothing rileyfinnin' jerk who was giving Anne-Lise a bad time but I suspect that our illustrious listmum Kimber kicked that one out of the list. (Since swearing in replies to the list is bad form, whenever I feel like swearing, I'll write "rileyfinnin'".)

I find it hard to believe that you've been getting grief from people over not following canon. I thought that the whole point of fanfic was to break away from canon. To zig where the PTB in charge of the subject property zags. You like Buffy and Willow together, get them together. You like Joycealive, then keep her alive. Turn Xander into a vamp, make Tara straight, give Riley Finn a personality(okay that last one's a stretch!), go for it!

Like the man said however, there's no way that you can please everyone, andif you try to tailor your story to please everyone, no one will like it. If only Hollywood would get the message, we could avoid movies like "Say ItIsn't So". In the end, when it comes to fanfic, the first person you haveto worry about pleasing is you. You've done it with your earlier stories,and that's what makes them good.

So keep that in mind if and when you finish your current story arc, and I have no doubt it will be nothing short of excellent. I hope to read more from you, and hey, if enough of us send you our e-mail addys, will you send us your Xena stories?
