OT: Buffy The Animated Series

Just a quick note to relay: The Hollywood Reporter
<http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/> reveals this morning that an
animated version of the best show on television, Buffy the Vampire
Slayer, will premiere on Fox Kids this autumn. The animated show, to
be produced and developed by Joss Whedon (creator of all
things 'Buffy'), will tell untold tales of the Scoobs' high school
years, according to the Reporter. (On the live-action series, Buffy
and her classmates graduated Sunnydale High two years ago.)

Fox Family, Fox Kids unveil development slates

NEW YORK -- Fox Family Channel is developing 11 new original series
for its primetime schedule, including four reality shows, and also
has 17 original movies in development. Fox Family's daytime schedule
will feature four new series, including one from Alicia Silverstone,
and Fox Kids Network is adding eight new series, including an
animated version of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Evolution," an
animated series based on the DreamWorks movie of the same name that
is set for release during the summer. The networks announced their
respective development slates Wednesday at an upfront
presentation. "We all got together and formed a new (development)
team in June, (and) one of the first things we set out to do was
redefine what a family channel could be," Fox Family Channel and Fox
Kids Network president Maureen Smith said. "Our goal was to prove you
could be a family channel and deliver adults in primetime."
