TITLE: Trinity's Child 20/?

SUMMARY: Sequel to Terra Australis Incognito. 17 years on Buffy, Xander, 
Willow, and their child must face very different evils to save the world 
(again).
SPOILERS: None really. AU.

Trinity's Child 20/?

Their nightmare had brought the most powerful sense of fear that any 
of them had ever felt. Blind panic set in as they tried desperately to 
contact their daughter. Their dream of her possible death on their minds, 
they nearly went insane waiting for word on their daughter.

Then came word. She wasn't dead. But something almost as bad. The 
message was short and simple.

Jenny is the new Slayer. Discovered during fight with Sisterhood of 
Jhe. No friendly casualties. Investigating activities of Sisterhood of Jhe.
Taryn sends.

They mourned the loss of their little girls innocence. They knew that 
a Slayers life was often short and brutal. They raged against it, they cursed 
The Powers That Be, they swore bloody vengeance a million times over at the 
Watchers Council.

But there was nothing that they could do except wait. And pray.


They all sat down around Jenny. Spike was quiet and sullen. Paul was 
unsure how to react to the revelation. Li and Tran sat in quiet awe of their 
friend. Tanya was on her palm top computer researching while Taryn put ice on 
her shoulder where she had received a heavy blow.

Jenny's mind was a blur. All she could think was 'The Slayer. I'm the 
new Slayer'. Her mind snapped back into focus at the sound of Paul's voice.

"What do we do now?"

Jenny thought for a moment. She wasn't ready for this. She didn't have 
a Watcher and, despite her martial arts training and limited vampire dusting 
experience, she wasn't trained to be the Slayer. Panic started to grip her. 
What now? What do they do? 

She started to breathe deep, forcing herself to calm down and think. 
What was she to do now? She found the answer by rephrasing the question. What 
would her mother do now?

"Research. We research and find out about the Sisterhood of Jhe and 
what the hell they're up to." Jenny told them. She had sat at the knee of her 
parents a million times and heard their stories of the Scooby Gang. She had 
never dreamed that one day she would be in the same situation as her parents 
were at her age. Time to take charge and organise.

"Tanya, what do you have?" Jenny asked.

"I've got the registration of the truck. It belongs to the Mercutio 
Corporation, I'm getting everything we have on file on them being sent. The 
boxes they left behind were computers and high tech equipment. I've run a 
couple of the names and serial numbers through the system. Apparently they're 
used for medical research. Gene therapy, DNA analysis, bio chemical 
interactions, that sort of thing." Tanya informed them. Tran looked worried.

"The Sisterhood aren't into healing mankind. What could they be up to?"

"What could they do with that stuff?" Jenny asked Paul.

"Lots, with the right equipment and training. Worst case, they could 
be bio engineering a new unstoppable breed of demon. Didn't the American 
government do something like that when your parents were in Sunnydale?"

"Yeah, they did. It was supposed to be a real big bad until the First 
Evil ripped it into tiny pieces." Jenny said, remembering the story her 
parents told her as a kid.

"This is not good." Li stated with a chill down her spine.

"That's the understatement of the 21st century." Paul half joked. 
"With the technology available these days, they could make a nearly 
invincible demon. We need to stop them before they get Super Demon up and 
running."

"OK. Taryn, Tanya, you two find out all the info you can on this 
Mercutio Corporation. Addresses, employees, activities, that sort of thing." 
Jenny turned to Spike.

"Uncle Spike, see if you could shake the local demon population for 
the word on the Sisterhood and what they're up to." Spike nodded and left 
without a word.

"Li, Tran, can you guys ask around any contacts you have and get 
anything on this?"

"We've got some people we could talk to. I'm not sure if they would 
know anything though." Li told Jenny.

"Ask anyway, will ya?" Li nodded.

"What do you want me to do?" Paul asked his lover.

"Can you hack into the Slayer Council database?"

"Yeah, I know Uncle Xander's password. You want all their info on the 
Sisterhood?"

Jenny looked at him, a determined look on her pretty face.

"Yes. That and information on Slayers."

"Slayers?" he asked.

"I'm a Slayer now. I think I'd better learn how to be a good one if I 
want to survive for very long." she said. Paul hugged her tightly.

"I love you." he told her.

"Ditto." she said, and contemplated her future.
