If Buffy and company were superheroes? Well how about;

Buffy; Huntress(onetime ally of Batman). Tough, take-no-prisoners attitude, kicks @$$ with the best of them. Plus, Huntress' weapon of choice is a crossbow.

Giles; Professor X. More in the background, in a mentor/advisor role.

Willow; Scarlett Witch(Marvel's Avengers). Powerful, attuned to nature, used to be a little unsure of herself, but in the heat of battle can be counted on. Plus she's a redhead.

Xander; Spider-Man. Always ready with a quip or a comic remark, and takes his responsibilities very seriously. And I still say Nicholas Brandon should have gotten the part in the movie, not Toby Maguire!

Angel; Batman. The avenger of the night, wears the mantle of protector seriously, constantly keeping a tight control on his base emotions.

Tara; Shadowcat(Kitty Pryde, X-Men). New kid on the block, but growing mature and confidant in her role as heroine.

Spike; John Constantine(Hellblazer). Tough macho Brit punk with a mysterious, dark past and a tendency to mix it up with the supernatural element.
