Ok, I may have been mistaken. I wasn't trying to nessicarily tell the truth, but to be encourging. Personally if someone wants to tell me that they don't like what I wrote, I'll accept that. I'm a believer in Murphy's Laws including the axiom "If you try to please everyone, soemone won't like it."
By being parental, I meant that I'd sound like my mother. She's always saying crap to me like stop thinking about it and just do it. Then again I'm a procrastinator, so I generally need a kick in the pants. 
I never tell people the bad details about something that they are about to do. I don't walk around telling smokers about cancer, I don't tell skydivers the odds of surviving if their chute fails, and I don't tell people that someone may not like what they say. 
It's like the scene in Graduation part 1 (I think) where Buffy says she'll pull the arrow out on three, then just yanks. It allows the person to focuson the work, instead of the pain involved in finishing it.

PS. If this ramble makes no sense tell me to shove it, I really don't mind.But I want to be clear that I meant no insult to anyone in this or in the previous post.

Posting ideas to the list is ALWAYS welcome. It's how I first met Shadow, Pat, Jen, Janine, Sammy, Fool, Aly etc etc..... and how other writers have come to know... and respect each other. Back when I was a list member.... Rod encouraged us to hold conversations on list. We're a FAMILY here..... If you insist on being rude, do it on your own time and off list...... it's none of my business or anyone elses what goes on in your own private email correspondance. It is however, my business when a list member decides togo parental. Only I can do that. Seeing as Rod has been MIA since December.... I'm all you've got.. take it or leave it. I'd expect you and everyone else to be mindful about the WELCOMENESS of OT convos, posting about stories, talking about episodes and such. In no way do I run a tight ship.. as a matter of fact, I've been pretty absent as of late due to real life shit....... but that doesn't mean I don't see what's going on and read the stories posted and notice when it looks like feathers are getting ruffled.

No one will tell if a story sucks???? I beg to differ... I've been told I suck on many occasions.... and I've also been the target of hate mail and awonderful little website dedicated to the 'shit writers of the buffyverse'.........I find that when you request honest criticizm and comments, you receive them. And even when you don't request them sometime you get them. You don't know how many emails I've gotten OFF LIST with comments, criticism, praise, drop dead you suck, you're a hack, blah blah blah ad nauseum. I even stopped writing for a while over that whole "bad buffy fic" thing and notice I haven't posted anything in a while either... so... I'm still a bittattered and torn over that one......... Bottom line is that this list is respectful enough of each other that those comments are reserved privately... if at all necessary...

I hate it when things like this happen... cause then I have to get all parental... and I'm the only one who has that right. I'm not gonna be like other list owners and just unsub people who piss me off... variety is the spice of life after all... but I am getting pretty tired of the mini tirades and nasty comments as of late from the peanut gallery..... This has always been a friendly list and a place of solace for people... please don't anyone change that and make me go all 'List Moderator" on you. It's not a pleasant title and one hat I don't care to wear too often.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled fanfic, OT discussions, idea flinging and jungle juice consumption

HhDouglas - I can't wait till I get to see the Highlander movie....it looksawesome!! unfortunatly, it doesn't show here anylonger... so I have to rely on fanfic for my fix. hehe... good luck with your story and I can't waitto read it..... I'm sure it'll be great.. especially with willow and poodleboy broken up without all the angst..... :)

I hate to sound bossy, but stop writing about your story and write it. I'm going to have to be parental here and tell you the only place where successcomes before work is the dictionary. Good luck, and remember no one here will tell you if your story sucks anyway, so don't worry about it. I could post my grocery list and nobody'd say anything.

its going to be a b/w crossover with highlander.i wrote some of it 
almost a year ago and i am going to have to make some changes that 
differ from the show.willow does go to sunnydale community college 
but she and oz are broken up but he still resides in sunnydale and 
they broke up and veruca or whatever her name is never existed
