Hi,
I've noticed a heap of questions about highlander stuff and since
I've been into it for ages I thought I'd help out. A lot of this
information comes from the Rysha official site, I've added a bit to it
on my own over time.

Co-owner with MacLeod of MacLeod & Noel Antiques, Seacouver, WA.
Curator for the Paris Bureau of Arts and Monuments.
Tessa learned of Immortality on 1 April 1983
Shot and killed in a random mugging incident 23 October 1993.
The assailant was never apprehended.

Fun Fact of Highlander

The Quickening:
An immortals life force, it is what makes an immortal immortal, it lays
dormant (they live as mortal) until triggered by a violent death at
which time the person no longer ages, any injury is rapidly repaired.
When beheaded the quickening is released from the immortal, if another
Immortal is close by it will enter he/she in a spectacular display of
energy. The quickening is basically the immortals soul, it contains all
his/her strength and knowledge. The older the immortal and the amount of
quickening taken increase the power of a quickening. On very rare
occasions a quickening has been known to overwhelm an existing
personality, these events are usually refereed to as a Dark or Light
quickening depending on the change of personality.

Watchers:
Since their founding 4000 years ago the Watchers have observe and record
but never interfere, they know the truth about immortals, they live to
record their history. To become a you have to go about one of two ways,
to be born into a family of watchers, or be recurited upon seeing an
immortal rise from the dead or something similar. upon occasion watchers
have been known to brake their oaths and interfere, the most famous of
these men and woman are Joe Dawson and James Hortan, Dawson by
befriending his assignment, Hortan by founding the Hunters out of
watcher ranks and trying to kill off the immortals believing them an
evil race.

The Game:
The game is how immortals commonly reefer to their existence, since
before any immortal can remember the game has dominated their lives, the
game is controlled by three rules, the only three laws of immortal
society.

The Rules:
1. No Immortal may fight on holy ground. - This is the one rule no
immortal will brake - Immortal legend has it the last time immortals
fought on holy ground it resulted in the eruption of Pompeii in 78 AD .
2. All fights between immortals are one-on-one. - This rule has been
broken on a great number of occasions.
3. In the end their can be only one. - The last immortal at the end of
the Gathering will win the Prize and hold the power of every immortal
ever born, enough to rule earth for eternity, it is also believed that
if the immortal wish it they can become mortal, have children, grow old
and die.

The Gathering:
Immortal legend holds that when the last immortal is born and their
number is few they will be drawn to a far off land, their they be
compelled to fight until the prize is won.

Origin of Immortals:
All immortal men are sterile and the woman barren, all immortal are
foundlings taken in by mortals, raised as mortals until their first
death. The question of where they come from is perhaps the most
important question in their lives.

I did have a heap more stuff to put in, a lot of it do with the
characters but I didn't want to make it too long, but as a Highlander
freak I feel obliged to offer my help to anyone who wants with
Highlander stuff :-)
