Sheila and Her Birth Pains

"I hate you!" Willow screamed as Buffy hurriedly carried her into Boulder
Community Hospital. Ira, Sheila and Tecal with Katie in her arms followed
seconds behind the running slayer. Michael drove off to park the car. He
still didn't understand how they'd managed to get so many people into one
car. Willow had ridden the whole way to the hospital on Buffy's lap. Even
Sheila was surprised at the language Willow used during her contractions. 

Buffy still carrying Willow ran to the desk in the emergency room. "My wife
is going to have a baby." Buffy shouted at the empty station.

"I am going to turn you and Tecal into small slimy toads. Ah!" Willow
screamed squeezing her arms around Buffy's neck.

"Please she is having the baby now!" Buffy screamed as Willow cut off her
oxygen.

"And don't think I forgot about you either Michael OH!" Willow shouted as
the next contraction hit.

"Grrrr" Tecal growled as Willow continued her contractions. Tecal had been
growling very low with each of Willow's contractions. 

"Michael maybe you should hold Katie." Buffy whispered to the man as he ran
to stand beside his pride.

"Grrrr Grrrr." Tecal said but she handed over her daughter to Micheal.
"Tecal hold Willow I am going to get someone." Buffy said taking charge. She
was in total slayer mode. Tecal took Willow in her arms and Willow quickly
wrapped her arms around Tecal's neck. Buffy hopped over the desk in one
bound and ran over to the two emergency doors that separated the waiting
room from the emergency room. 

Ira saw a wheelchair and pulled it over by Tecal. "Why don't you put Willow
down." Ira said trying to be helpful. 

Tecal growled at him and bared her fangs with full cat like eyes in answer.
"Maybe not." Ira said stepping back.

"They won't hurt you, they are just in protect mode. They would only harm
you if you tried to harm Willow or one of the babies." Micheal said quietly
rocking his daughter in his arms. "Katie's getting her little sister today."
He sang out to the child and kissed her forehead as he continued to rock the
child. 

Tecal pulled Willow closer before the next contraction, "Buffy Summers you
Bitch!" Willow cried in Tecal's arms as the cat growled in time to Willow's
contractions. The cat was having sympathetic labor pains with her mate. 

Buffy reappeared from behind the door with two women. Buffy had a hand
wrapped around each woman's neck and was half dragging them out to the
waiting room. Both women were obviously in fear of the slayer.

Arriving next to Willow, Buffy let go and said, "So do something."

"Buffy don't leave me again," contraction hit, "You bitch." Willow screamed
the last part and nearly choked the growling Tecal. 

"Let's sit your wife in a chair and wheel her back." The doctor said
grabbing Ira's Wheelchair. 

"I want Buffy to hold me." Willow replied reaching out for Buffy. 

"But the hospital pol..." The nurse was cut off by a stream of long growls
from both Buffy and Tecal. 

"I think you should just let my daughter in law carry her." Ira whispered to
the Nurse. Buffy now had Willow in her arms and Tecal was right beside
Buffy. Both of their eyes no longer human. 

"Fine, then bring her back to examining room 2, Lisa have someone come back
out and fill out the paperwork." The Doctor Buffy had dragged out said
trying to take control. 

"Well I am going back to be with my daughter too." Sheila suddenly
announced. Both Buffy and Tecal growled low but they were both already
moving into the emergency room. Tecal opening the doors for Buffy. 

"Fine, Lisa alert Maternity we have a client coming up soon." The doctor
replied. 

Buffy carried Willow into the examination room and put her down on the
table. Then Buffy and Tecal squeezed in by Willow's head each taking a hand.
The doctor quickly pulled Willows back into the stirrups, cut her underwear
away and tossed it in the trash. 

Looking at Willow and measuring her dilation the doctor asked, "How long ago
did her water break?"

"Buffy I am going to make you wear Tecals' plug for a month." Willow
screamed as another contraction hit her. 

"About twenty five minutes ago. We got her here as quickly as we could."
Buffy said letting her eyes return to human. "Doctor is it normal for her to
hate me?" Buffy asked quietly after Willow finished her contraction.

"If you're the husband, then yes." The doctor said with a smile. "How far
apart are the contractions?" 

Tecal looked at her watch and growled then forced her eyes human and
answered, "About 2 minutes 45 seconds." 

"That is fast." The doctor stated. Tecal let her eyes turn cat and spoke in
telepathic cat language to Buffy for a couple of minutes.

"Frogs, I am going to make you both frogs, and then ah ah." Willow screamed
as the next contraction hit her. 

"Doctor, Tecal said that since Willow shared her blood she may deliver more
quickly than a human." Buffy said quietly.

"What do you...." The doctor stopped in mid sentence as she looked into the
eyes of the two women.

"She is still my daughter and she is going to have my grandchild so help her
or I will find one of my daughters spells and do something nasty to you
myself." Sheila screamed at the doctor. 

"You bitch, thanks mom, but you bitch." Willow screamed as yet another
contrition hit. 

"The contractions are speeding up. We need to get you prepped and ready.
Lisa get her ready to move ASAP. Ms... Sorry I don't know your name" the
doctor said pointing at Buffy, "Can I speak to you out side. 

"I am going to get you undressed." The nurse said seconds before Tecal
changed one of her fingers into a claw and easily cut Willow's remaining
clothes off her body in a few seconds. The doctor and the nurse just stood
looking on in awe.

"Doctor you wanted to speak to me?" Buffy said to the doctor to get her
attention, then turning back to Tecal, "Stay out of their way and let them
care for Willow. Tecal will help you just tell her what you need." Buffy
added to the nurse. 

"Will she hurt me?" The frightened nurse asked. 

"No, she is feeling Willows labor pains and growls with them but she will
not harm you." Buffy said quietly. Looking at Willow one last time she
noticed her alphas eyes were also cat-like like Tecal's. Then she walked out
into the hall followed by the doctor. 

"Your wife isn't human." The doctor stated slowly.

"Actually she is human, only she is also feral. Mostly she is human." Buffy
said trying to explain. "Look the birth of our child will be just like any
other humans. Willow will not need to change form, not like Tecal when she
gave birth." Buffy said her hand on her hips. 

"BUFFY YOU ARE SO PUNISHED" Willow screamed from the other room as another
contraction hit her. 

"You're growling with your wives contractions too." The doctor noted. "And
your eyes change just like your friend when she has her contractions."

"She is my alpha, just like Tecal. They are my pride." Buffy said unable to
make the doctor understand what that meant. How much they both meant to her.
"Willow is my Alpha Prime wife." Buffy said frustration then finally in
desperation said, "I love her." 

"Ok, I understand that part. We are going to take your wife upstairs, are
you going to stay with her?" the doctor asked.

"And Tecal, if there are problems I will need Tecal's race memories." Buffy
said cryptically "If there is a problem from the cat side, our wife Tecal
will know what to do, we are all part Feral, Cat people as Micheal calls
us." Buffy tried to explain. 

If the doctor hadn't seen the woman in action she would have locked them up
but there was a baby on the way. And she believed in her oath. 

"Ok, but keep out of the way." The doctor stated.

They were all in the delivery room waiting for Willow to give birth. The
contractions were about one minute apart and holding. Both Tecal and Buffy
were having labor pains as well as Willow. The three women growled and their
eyes changed with each contraction.

"So these are your wives?" The doctor asked to make conversation as she sat
between Willows legs in the same way a catcher waits for a pitch. 

"Yes, Buffy is our prime and Tecal is my alpha." Willow said before gritting
her teeth with the contraction and then doing her breathing exercises. Buffy
held her hand and was breathing along with her. Tecal held Mrs. Rosenburg's
hand and was breathing with her. 

"And you're her mother?" the doctor asked looking at the printout from the
machine measuring the contractions and mother's heart rate. 

Breath, breath, breath, "Yes she is my baby." Breath, breath, breath, Sheila
replied deep into her breathing pattern. 

"And you're human?" the doctor asked Mrs. Rosenberg who was doing a perfect
Lamaze exercise. 

"Yes and my daughter was human until she got mixed up with her... I still
can't believe you got my baby pregnant, it's your fault she is in this
shape." Sheila screamed, hit Buffy on the back and then went back to doing
Lamaze breathing. 

"Mo-ther.... OH, OH, OH PAIN" Willow screamed and nearly twisted Buffy's
hands off. 

Buffy growled with the contraction then said "Breath Will, breath." 

"The baby is near." Tecal said then growled pulling Sheila into a hug and
holding her.

"Wow, you're right, I see the head. That was really fast." The doctor
commented as she began to move her hands in to get the child.

Ira Rosenburg sat outside the delivery room holding a small child in his
hand while the baby's father paced the floor nervously. Looking at the child
he remembered the first time he held his little redhead baby. And now that
baby was making him a grandfather.

"Everything will be alright son. If I know Buffy Summers she will not rest
until Willow is well taken care of." Ira said patting the seat next to him.

Micheal shrugged and sat down in the seat and picked up his daughter. "I got
to be at Katie's birth." Micheal explained. "It's easier when you are in the
room." 

"I was in the room for Willow's birth. Sheila called me every name in the
book." Ira said with a laugh.

Suddenly there was a set of loud howls or roars echoing throughout the
delivery room. Micheal sighed with relief and turned to Ira; "The baby has
been born." Micheal then grabbed Ira and pulled him toward the delivery
room. He knew his pride had called for him when it announced the birth of
their second child. 
Pulling Ira into the room he found Buffy holding the baby while the doctor
tried to check the child. 

"She is beautiful Will." Buffy said hugging the blood-covered child to her
chest. Tecal had let go of Sheila and was hugging Willow. 

"Jana Rachel Summers." Willow announced still hugging Tecal.

Buffy and Willow sat outside watching the blue Colorado sky. Buffy was
breast-feeding Jana while Micheal let Katie, in her lion form, chase him
around the backyard. Tecal sat in her own cat form underneath their feet
watching Katie and Micheal play as her tail twitched. 

"Your parents made it home ok?" Buffy asked her wife.

"Yes and Giles and Joyce will be out to see the children next week. Willow
said with a smile, squeezing Buffy's hand. 

"When we were in college did you ever envision our lives like this?" Buffy
asked changing breast. 

"No." Willow said flatly brushing Jana's flaming red hair. 

"Disappointed?" Buffy asked looking into Willow's eyes.

"Never, this is so much better than I ever dreamed Buffy Summers there is
only one thing I want." Willow said leaning over and kissing Buffy. 

"What?" Buffy replied pulling back and looking at her wife.

"You have the next child." Willow said with a laugh. Tecal just roared her
own approval of Willow's plan. 

"No fair ganging up on me." Buffy replied leaning down and scratching Tecal
between the ears.
