Feedback and things
Hey gang!
I've been derelict in my duties as a feedbacker. I wanted to write some this last week, but Yahoo's been acting wonky lately. Now that it seems to be working again, let's see what's going down.
Shyfox; greetings, my partner in crime! Glad to see you updating "Past Imperfect". I'm in the minority regarding BtVS in that I actually liked the movie(the seeds were there, even if altered by outside writers). This fusion of old school and new school Buffies is most intriguing. Hmm, I wonder if Joyce'll take a look at Merrick and notice that he looks like her father. (Y'see, Kristine Sutherland is Donald's daughter, and-- oh skip it!) Oh, and I'm nearly finished with "Wonderful World", I'll send it to you soon for your perusal before subjecting the list.
H. H. Douglas; Enjoying the updates to Immortal Pair. You seem to be getting a smoother handle on the Buffy/Willow dynamic. Loved the hide-and-seek game. I could see them doing that on the show.
Alex; "Revelations and Realizations" is chugging along nicely. New insights on your universe, new danger for Cordy(at least I assume that's the dark-haired girl at the end, but it could be Faith), new trouble for the gang in general. I would recommend that what ever Buffy and Willow have to learn from Brigit and Morrigan, it had better be a crash course.
Mad Hamlet; WHOA! Talk about an emotional wallop! "Prisms" is the best angst-fic I've read in a long time. The experiment of telling the story from different perspectives is a tricky stunt to pull off, but you've handled it masterly so far. I especially liked "Orange", with Willow's thoughts on what's happened to her. Her pain is real, and you made it real to me, but you also write in the prospect of hope. I can't wait to see the next chapter, and especially hope to learn the Truth that Willow learned before IT happened.
Sam I Am; QUIT TRIAD? Perish the thought! Quick, Red Fox, Shy Fox, Road Runner, administer the jungle juice, stat! Really, I'd have said something sooner if I could count on Yahoo to actually deliver the letter! Sweet moments between our favorite trio, gearing up for the ceremony. Kind of surprising that the Rosenbergs are taking this in stride. Oh, and how about an interlude chapter showing what Buffy and Tara were doing to Willow in chapter 7, just for the BWW list?
Anne Lise; She's back! Sound the trumpets and bang the drums! Nice take on "Sleeping Beauty", and LOL over your redo of Ghostbusters! Although I see Xander as being more like Dan Ackroyd, not Buffy. Maybe have Buffy try that stunt with the tablecloth or something. Oh, and howsabout a followup to the Buffybot snippet?
Fox; I am in awe. Loving your Roxy and Mick story. Romance, suspence, the dark, all the cool things we love about BtVS. Way cool. And what's this about having Roxy meet Buffy? Can it get any cooler?
Tony McD; YES! The satisfying end of "Trinity's Child" was made only sweeter by the start of "Destiny's End". Well researched at the beginning, showing the effects of the asteroid shower. Very Arthur C. Clarke. Maybe you should show this to George Dubya. Get his attention. <BEG>
Well, that's all I can think of for now. But before I sign off, an unsolicited plug. I found a brand spanking new Buffy/Willow story on the following site;
http://www.chimerabloom.com/
It's called "You Used To Be Mine" and involves Willow trapped in a parallel universe, where her relationship with Buffy is different than on the show. Chimera Bloom just started the sequel "Shy Love", and it's shaping up to be a good one. Rather angsty, and a shock at the beginning, but bear with it, it's worth the effort. She also has a few Star Trek; Voyager stories centering on a Captain Janeway/Seven of Nine 'ship. Give it a look, you'll be glad you did.
