End Time (1/1)

I wrote this last night after seeing Buffy and Dark Angel... I don't know
where it came from only that I felt the need to write it. Anyway I'm not
quite sure what it is, exactly, one of my really bad attempts at poetry or a
prologue to a story, so I'm leaving it up to the reader to draw they own
conclusions.

END TIME

I will love you until the end of time and beyond. I wake up with those
words echoing through my mind. The ancient vow made by my other half before
she crossed over to the other side, forever reminding my that while I still
walk Mother Earth that someone out there, even if she is on the other side,
still loves and believes in me. That for all my faults someone loved and
accepted my like no other, even when I was at my worse, when I took my duty
for granted, when I allowed my inner demons to take control and lead me to
rash decisions. She still believed in me, she never gave up hope that I
would come to my senses and do the right thing. That I would be the hero
she always new I could be.

As she lay dying she made me promise to continue to walk the path she had
been leading me down. Promise that I would never forget her words or
lessons in quiet strength and resolve, I did my best to fulfil that promise,
although admittedly I did stumble along the way quite a lot... more times
then I care to admit. But now the end time is near... I can feel my time on
this plane coming to an end at long last. The end time is here... its time
to cross over now to join the other half of my soul in the next life. Gods
I hope I get it right this time.

To the end of time and beyond... I will always love her. She is my soul, my
saviour, my logic and reason, I'm nothing without her and I'm so tired of
struggling through this world alone. I lived this life alone, keeping a
promise to my love the best I could.

Now it is time to move on... to find my other half once more. To fill this
empty ache in my soul that has been there for a thousand years or more. The
end time is here... I'm ready to join you, my love, in the next journey in
our new lives. A love like ours can never die, I learned that from our time
apart. I know the gods are going to give us a second shot to get it right
this time. Who knows, maybe this time I'll be less of a bitch and will
control my temper better, or you'll just be better at keeping me in line.

The end time is over... now it is the beyond and I still love you... now and
forever 'til the end of time and beyond.
