About three o'clock that afternoon Giles and the others got home and 
the first thing they did was unload the van.They left their suitcases 
right outside the foyer and then took the cases of guns and ammo 
boxes down to the armory.Giles was about to shut the door to the 
armory when Willow said hold on Giles i want to get one of the 
sniping rifles and a small box of ammo and go practice with it.Giles 
said not today Willow we just got home and we need to unpack and we 
have to check to see how the situation in Sunnydale has changed in 
our absence.Amy said if the situation had changed surely Cassandra 
would have notified us.Giles said she could only tell us what she 
knows and some vampires make it a habit of keeping low profiles and 
anyway Cassandra doesnt have a backdoor to the computer records at 
the sunnydale morgue like we do.Willow said i will check the regular 
sites after i get unpacked.Giles said ok and then Buffy said Giles i 
am going to patrol tonight and it might be a good idea if i take a 
pistol or two with me.Giles said i would prefer that you not patrol 
tonight but it is neccessary because you will be able to tell whether 
or not the situation has changed better than we can otherwise find 
out.Joyce said Buffy i want you to take someone with you as backup 
and Willow said i will go with her.Giles said no i want you to stay 
here Xander can go with her.Buffy said Giles i want Willow to go with 
me because i know she can handle herself and anyway durring or after 
the patrol we might stop at the bronze to check out the scene there 
because thats the most likely spot next to Willy's that we will find 
out things.Xander said i agree with them Giles and Giles said ok you 
two can patrol tonight and i will give each of you two pistols before 
you 
leave. 

After getting unpacked Willow went to the computer room and she 
started checking the regular sites to find out if the situation had 
changed in their absence.The first site she went to was the sunnydale 
morgue's computer records and she saw that there werent any reported 
deaths due to animal attacks,gangs,or loss of blood in sunnydale 
while they were gone.The next site she accessed was the sunnydale 
police departments and she didnt find anything there as well.Twenty 
minutes later after double checking all the sites Willow walked out 
of the computer room and started looking around for Giles.When she 
found Giles in the library she said Giles I'm afraid that i found 
nothing in any of the sites to give us any idea of what the situation 
is here.Joyce said thats good news but Giles said I'm afraid Joyce 
that its not good news because when there is nothing to be found it 
means that someone or something is up to something.Joyce said couldnt 
it just be that the vampires and demons were just taking a break from 
all their hellraising they try to do.Willow said i am sorry Joyce but 
from all i have seen in the past few years whenever there is a lack 
of action by vampires and demons there is something definitely big in 
the works.Giles walked over to the entercom pannel and he pressed the 
button.Giles said everyone i am raising the level of the alert we are 
on because of the lack of evidence that Willow couldnt find on the 
situation here in Sunnydale through the regular sources.Xander got on 
the entercom and he said i suggest that we set up some of the guns to 
prepare for a possible attack.Buffy said before we set up any of the 
guns i think that i should drop by Willie's bar and see what i can 
find out from him.Giles said thats a good idea but take backup with 
you.Willow said i will go with her but Giles said no Willow i want 
you to stay and see if you can find anything out through sites you 
dont ussually use.Willow said ok and then she headed toward the 
computer room.Over the entercom Oz told Buffy that he would go with 
her and she said ok meet you at the foyer in a few 
minutes. 

A few minutes after Buffy and Oz left the phone rang and Amy 
answered it.Amy said hello may i help you.Wesley said i am trying to 
reach Rupert Giles is this his residence.Amy said yes sir it is 
please hold on a few moments and i will call him to the phone.Amy 
walked over to an entercom pannel and she said hey Giles you have a 
phone call while pressing the button.Giles walked over to the nearest 
phone and picked it up.When he said hello Wesley said Giles its me i 
got your message and we are interested in getting a hold of the items 
you mentioned in your letter.Giles said i am very glad to hear that 
now all we need to decide is when and where we will meet so we can 
give you the items.Wesley pulled the phone away from his head and 
covered the part he spoke into.Wesley said Derek he wants to know 
when and where we can meet.Derek said ask him if tommorrow night is 
ok and Wesley said what about where.Derek said that we will leave up 
to him.Wesley got back on the phone and he said Giles how about 
tommorrow night and Giles said tommorrow night will be fine although 
i would prefer the meeting be held durring the day but where will we 
meet.Wesley said we will leave that up to you to decide.Giles thought 
a second and he said the clearing near Martin's citrus grove thats 
right off the interstate thats a few miles outside Los Angeles.Wesley 
said we will be there and Giles said good and then he hung up the 
phone. 

Twenty minutes after leaving the house Buffy and Oz walked into 
Willie's bar and they looked around.Oz followed Buffy when she walked 
up to the bar and she said hey Willie come here.Willie walked over to 
where Buffy and Oz were sitting and he said what do you want 
slayer.Buffy said what i want is for you to tell us what the 
situation here in sunnydale is.Willie said i dont know what you are 
talking about slayer.Buffy said come on Willie i know somethin big is 
being planned because nothing is going on around here at least 
nothing we can find out about.When Buffy threatened him with 
Psychical harm Willie decided to spill his guts.Willie said there is 
a large group of vampires hanging out in Clarkeville just waiting 
word from someonw to hit her and her friends.Oz asked when the attack 
was to take place and Willie said i have no idea of when its going to 
be.Buffy said come on Oz lets head for home i dont think we will get 
anything more out of 
him. 

When wesley got off the phone he told Derek where the meeting wws 
going to be held.Derek said the sooner those books and items are in 
our hands he better i will feel and Wesley said you arent the only 
one but will the squad of britons arrive in time to back us up for 
the meeting.Derek said yes they will be arriving here some time 
tommorrow morning but its not one squad its three squads the Prefect 
of the London House insisted on sending at least three squads because 
of the items we are supposed to 
recieve. 

Thirty minutes before sundown Buffy and Willow changed into some of 
their old blue jeans and shirts and then equipped themselves with the 
normal weapons they carried when going on patrol.As they were walking 
down the steps they saw Giles and Joyce waiting for them in front of 
the foyer.When they got up to Giles and Joyce,Giles said here are the 
guns i want you to carry with you.Giles held out two double shoulder 
holsters which could hold two guns each and several clips as 
well.Buffy and Willow put on the shoulder holsters and then they took 
the jackets that Joyce was holding out to them.Willow and Buffy put 
the jackets on and Joyce said both of you please be carefull and 
Buffy said we will be mom dont worry and then she kissed her mom on 
the 
cheek. 

Right after sundown in Clarkeville a 30 year old vampire named 
Tyrell was fed up with waiting and he said guys lets go to 
Sunnydale.Another vampire said sir we have orders from Wolfram and 
Hart to wait here until their chosen representatives arrive.Tyrell 
said the hell with their orders and their representatives as well i 
am damn well fed up with staying here doing absolutely nothing but 
waiting.Several of the other vampires agreed with Tyrell and they all 
followed him toward 
Sunnydale. 

About eight o'clock Spike,Drusilla,Ethan,Darla,and Crimson arrived 
at where they were to meet the group of vampires that had been 
assembled to attack the slayer and her group and none of them were 
happy when they only saw about twelve vampires waiting for them.Spike 
walked up to te closest vampire and he said where the hell are the 
rest of the group there is supposed to be at least 50 vampires 
waiting for us.The vampire that Spike was closest said about twenty 
of them headed for sunnydale but most of the others headed for 
Clarkeville.Darla said how many of you are left and the vampire said 
about eleven of us.Spike said we might as well forget about attacking 
the slayer and her friends tonight because the sixteen of us wont 
stand a chance against the slayer and her associates.One of the 
vampires said no lets not waste this attempt to attack them.Ethan 
looked at the vampire and he said hey it would be plain suicide to do 
that with the numbers we have.Crimson said we need to contact 
Mr.Sygasso and let him know what 
happened. 

In Sunnydale Buffy and Willow were walking through a cemetary 
looking for any vampires when Buffy suddenly sensed a large group of 
vampires that were all around them and were coming toward them.Buffy 
said Willow we got trouble and Willow started unzipping her jacket so 
that she could quickly draw a gun from the shoulder holster.Willow 
looked around and she saw a large number of vamps and demons and she 
said hey how many are you sensing.Buffy said at least thirty vampires 
and a couple demsons.Willow said then we might as well not wait and 
let Rthem bring the attack to us.Willow pulled the glock 9mm pistol 
out of the shoulder holster and she started aiming at the hearts of 
the vampires and shooting at them.After several of the vampires had 
vanished in puff of ashes the other vampires started diving for cover 
which there was plenty of.When the gun clicked empty Willow pressed 
the magazine release and then she pulled out another clip and loaded 
it into the gun.Several of the vampires took this opportunity to rush 
Buffy because they believed they could use Buffy to make Willow to 
drop her gun.Willow was loading her fourth clip into the gun when she 
heard Buffy scream out in pain.Willow whirled around and she saw 
several vampires standing around Buffy who was on her knees.Willow 
started to open fire on those vampires around Buffy but suddenly the 
gun was knocked from her grasp by a vampire who had come up behind 
her.Two vampires quickly grabbed a hold of Willow and Tyrell said 
well well well what do we have here and then he looked over at 
Buffy.Tyrell said oh yes we have the slayer and one of her friends 
and you are both going to die.Willow said vampire you are going to 
definitely regret attacking us i promise you that.Tyrell and several 
of the vampires including the two who had been holding Willow's arms 
started laughing and one of the vampires let go of Willow's 
arm.Willow immedietly touched the runestone on the gauntlet that had 
the wiccan rune for fire on it.A second later a small flame appeared 
in her hand and at her mental command it jumped from her hand and 
quickly grew larger.Four seconds later the flame had turned into a 
ball of fire and willow had small fireballs shoot out of it and go 
after the vampires who were around her and BUFFY.The vampires either 
quickly ran away or caught unfire and quickly turned to 
ashes. 

Willow ran over to Buffy and pulled her into her arms.Willow 
kissed Buffy on the cheek and she said Buffy please tell me you are 
ok.Buffy said i will be in a few minutes but my shirt is definitely 
ruined.Willow looked at the front of Buffy's shirt and she saw a gash 
in it and it was also coated with blood.Willow said how did they get 
you down and Buffy said one of them stabbed me with a knife in the 
gut right after i had just staked a vampire.Buffy looked around and 
she said where did they all go.Willow said they either ran away or 
caught unfire when i used the fire runestone on my gauntlet.Buffy 
smiled and she said that sure did come in handy and Willow said it 
sure did and i hope it will continue to be handy in the future.
